Re: Replacement of salon windows on a 36
I replaced all of mine 2 years. I am in Tampa. I worked with an amazing local guy at the Davis Island Yacht Club who ordered the "glass" and cut them. He was very meticulous and used foam and sealant. I actually had a local boat yard replace them only 5 years ago. Several of them leaked an...

Free Force 10 Oven
Took the oven out to make space. It's Force 10 propane oven, but I'm not sure which of these models: FT 735 PR FT745PR there are models that end in NG as well but I'm assuming PR stands for propane. Oven NoShooz. resized.jpg A couple of the phots appear upside down in "preview" mode...just...

Re: Steering cables
The posts here have been really helpful in moving my repairs to the steering and cables forward. My issue is I need to either replace the Tangential unit (used on the 15" steering quadrant) which is LEWMAR part 89100111 or configure and weld something to replace the corroded section circled in ...

Rolling Furler Rigging
Does anyone have any photos they would share of how the rolling furler line is rigged back to the cockpit? The installer of my new mast isn't sure how to run the line. We has a dismasting and have a new Selden Mast to work with. Thanks, Brenda

Keeping the boat plugged into shore power?
Does frequent shore power dramatically increase having to add water to T105 batteries? What is the recommended maintenance schedule on the batteries?

Re: Update on problems with paint and an offer for free hatc
Tom,
Nice to meet you Saturday and I'm so glad you might be able to use the hatches! Thanks too for your offer to help. By the way, I never asked...where do you keep your boat?

Update on problems with paint and an offer for free hatches
As an update to the paint bubbles/bulges occurring on Noshooz, the problem turned out to be that the bottom paint didn't come up high enough above the water line and that the bubbling is caused by water seeping in at the water line. When the bottom was repainted it should have been raised above the ...

I'm going to start referring to my hull#
Just a thanks to all of you who taught me to identify my 1990 PDQ36 Noshooz by her hull #36006. I'm made new friends.

Re: What to do about bottom paint job not "holding up"?
Thanks for all your advice back in July when I posted about the problems I had with all the work I had done at the yard. (By the way all of the port fixed glass windows leaked and had to be resealed) As far as the bottom paint issue, the sales rep for Pettit paint looked into things and paid for a h...

Re: Waht to do about bottom paint job not "holding up"?
Thanks a lot. Your experience with lawsuits is a common one and why I hate to EVER do one. I am in commercial real estate and so I've had and seen a lot. Your personal experience and advice is helpful. The "work" was done at Progressive Marine - Dan Jimenez is the owner. Brenda

Re: Waht to do about bottom paint job not "holding up"?
Thanks for your replies guys. I need to figure out what recourse I have. I spent over $50,000 having the boat repainted, all new hatches and port lights, replacement of hardware and a few other minor fixes. I feel like I was taken advantage of. The port lights leak, the bottom paint was done wrong a...
