Re: Stern Anchor Setup

we mounted a second anchor roller on the bow. If you are using a rope rode or let out chain to rope, it is easy to drop and retrieve the anchor from the bow and walk the line to the stern. This gives us the ability to use the second anchor as a bow or stern anchor.

Re: Deck toe-rail?

Does anyone know where I can find a section of replacement toe rail for a 2005 power cat? I know the original toe rails were made by Taco Marine but they no longer manufacture them. Crest Aluminum seems to be a good source but I cannot locate the exact toe rail.

Re: c-map 128k user data card

I still have the original Raymarine RL70C on my 2005 PDQ. I have the C-Map NT+ charts for Florida, Georgia to Norfolk, and Cape Cod and Long Island. My wife and I are in the process of heading from Florida to New England, then completing the rest of the Great Loop. I am trying to find someone who st...

Re: Effective Water

It is very accurate when the boat is at rest in calm conditions. No shreds in the tank. Just disconnect the fitting at the top of the tank, install the fitting, drop the plastic tube to the bottom of the tank and your off!

I have tried to find a replacement plastic fitting for the deck washdown system but have not been able to find one that fits. Does anyone have a part number?

Re: Effective Water

We installed a Tank Tender about 15 years ago (tanktender.com). It is an inexpensive, simple system that measures liquid based on air pressure. No electric required! It is hooked up to the water and fuel tanks. We depleted 100% of usable water using the faucets. We then began filling the tank using ...

Re: Painting the Boat

River Forest in Stuart gave me an "approximate quote" for painting our 2005 a few weeks ago. $32,500 for the entire boat, including nonskid, roll and tip.

Tank Tender

Has anyone installed/calibrated a Tank Tender on the 34"? For those of you who aren't familiar with the product, the Tank Tender (http://www.thetanktender.com) is a pressure gauge for measuring the amount of liquid in a tank (diesel, water or wastewater). It is tremendously simple to use and in...

Emergency Bilge Pumps

I am getting ready to install emergency bilge pumps in my 34. I am considering installing a suction take off from the main engine pump on each engine, with a T so that I can turn a switch and cause the engines to simply suck the water out of the bilge and pump it overboard. The other option is some ...

I have the same problem and discussed it with the facory. Unfortunately, they say this problem is common and there's not much that can be done about it. I have found that if you cut an oil absorption rag into a 6 inch by 6 inch square, put a hole in the center large enough for the fuel pump to fit t...
