We bought install kits (essentially stereo cables on one end and 1/2" RCAs on the other plus antenna) for both of our boats and our 2 homes.. then just move the box around with us.. works great. XM now offers traffic and weather too. if you prepay the program a 2 yr deal is less than $10/mo. We...

The folks in the slips on both sides of mine both have the PETIT TRINIDAD SR and after 1 year each, neither of them have ANY growth .. just some slime.. they have not had to clean their bottoms and both expect the paint to last 2.5-3 years. IN Charleston we have a 2 knot current running through the ...

BOTTOM PAINT!

The VC17m we put on Banzai Makai is totally gone.. lasted less than 1 year travelling 2400 miles in warm salty water. The last 2 months we have had to pay divers to clean the bottom every other week. Pulled the boat Monday to repaint with Petit Trinidad SR (most recommended paint for Charleston SC w...

bottom paint

made the mistake of putting Interlux VC17M on our boat last year.. we keep her in the warm salty waters of the Carolinas/Florida and the teflon paint did not even last 6 months once we hit the coast here..

We are replacing it this week with Petit Trinidad SR.. will keep you posted

I know this is not related BUT.. we installed XM radio on our boat and we LOVE it.

Works everywhere (except under bridges)

$10 per month.. about 100 channels. Crystal clear.

Good choice Steve.. In fact it was our boat at the Miami show where you sealed the deal :) We also have a list of customizations done in Whidby as well as a list of things we have done or would like to have done since. Too much to type.. so better to take some time on a call to review the highlights...
