Re: vibration in sole/bulkhead from engines
I have owned my 3208 PDQ`since 1995. The outboard engines do vibrate and make excess noise. The obvious remedies are to throttle down. Maybe down the road I will replace the weatherstripping around the engine covers. It's just that I use the engines as little as possible and prefer to sail.

Re: Trampoline Nets
My SWAG factor estimate is roughly 20'. It should be the stretch kind of line. I would like to ask you where are you ordering it from? I had heard that PDQ factory was buying them from a sail maker in Toronto?

Re: Engine Cables
Sorry for the late reply. Use Supreme 33 cables - 8' & 11' I believe the 11' is for the port engine.

I own the PDQ 32008, built right after yours. I do have an A- spinnaker. Never have gotten around to measuring it. Email me if you still need the info.

Thanks, Drew. Very professional look and an effective way to ventilate the head. Phenomenal detail on how to install it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: New Salon table and Int. / Ext. renovation
Tom, You are right, we don't get much water in the bilges, but occasionally we do. I am not sure all the reasons, I know we leave a port hole open in the head. The auto bilge pumps are for safety reasons and for peace of mind. If this was an LRC PDQ, it would have to be mandatory to have auto bilge ...

Re: New Salon table and Int. / Ext. renovation
The Nav. Station shelves were frankly, one of the easiest jobs that I undertook. The shelves get progressively wider as you go from the bottom. I had some left over 1/2" teak Plywood (they sell over here for about $200 per 4X4 sheet, probably cheaper elsewhere.) I made the templates from cardbo...

Re: New Salon table and Int. / Ext. renovation
Tom, The floor support bridges is my favorite improvement on the vessel, I wish PDQ had thought of this before. I owned the boat for 6 years and even before I put it in charter the Hull floors would flex and feel weak, especially where you take your first step from the salon on both sides of the ves...

I have some pix's of the extra 35 gallon water tank at this web location. Sorry that you have to view all the pix's to get to the tank and hose connections. http://www.flickr.com/photos/nina_bonita

Re: New Salon table and Int. / Ext. renovation
I used the original table top as a template. Purchased 24" X 48" 3/4" Birch plywood at Lowes. What I enjoy the most of the new design is that it opens up the Salon area to a living room size feel. The legs and table set up in minutes. The original table was wobbly at best and was hard...

New Salon table and Int. / Ext. renovation
I repurchased my 1995 PDQ 32 classic (I was the original owner), in June 2008 and spent one year in renovating her. You can imagine the wear and tear after 7 years in charter in the Abacos!...... " Bamm, Honey I think we landed... Abbott & Costello routine" Trust me, it took that long ...

Re: Water tanks - Watermaker install?
Water Tanks- We have a second water tank, 35 gallons, installed in the Starboard hull under the bed storage area. The hose runs around the stern lockers and back to the one water pump under the the main tank. A simple handle opens one tank at a time. It would be far better to have installed the seco...

Re: Galley cabinet modifications
I haven't taken photos yet, but have cool other ones when I completely redid the cabin upholstery, but more importantly, installed auto bilge pumps and lateral beams in the bilge so the teak floor is now solid as a concrete sidewalk. Don't know how to add phots here anyways because i'm new do this t...

Re: Galley cabinet modifications
I have just ripped out the cabinet below the free standing fridge. You will be surprised at the additional storage that you gain. The original design Hull #008, had a 10" cabinet plus a cutting board drawer. Now I have 24 inch depth storage area that will store a cooler. As far as the three dra...
