In Stuart it's Costal Metal Works for the structure and G & G Canvas for the canvas work, if I recall correctly.

Re: tv dish on boat?
Still at home, but hope to get to the boat next month. No definite plans for next year but really looking forward to a Bahamas trip, whenever that can happen.

Re: tv dish on boat?
Hey John, This is not exactly what you asked for, but I do have some experience with a similar situation. My RV roof top dome failed and was obsolete anyway. I replaced it with a Dish Tailgater portable dome. It only requires the coax from the receiver, no external power. Place it on the ground and ...

Re: Effective Fuel
Duane is correct, it took 94 to fill it. That still is a fair amount of unusable fuel.

Re: Effective Fuel
On mine, when the port engine runs out of fuel the main tank held 94 gallons. You can get a little more usable on plane because the pick ups are closer to the rear of the tank. When you slow down coming off plane there is an unpleasant surprise waiting.

Re: Single Engine Operation
Nick, If your engine raw water intake "scoops" are facing forward, I know from experience the seacock needs to be closed or the engine will hydrolock from the water being forced past the impeller. I think you may have 100 hp engines and the "scoops" may face aft. Check first before taking my word fo...

Re: Fuel Pick up tube problem
Nick,
Sorry for not checking back sooner. I think I remember you on a Bayliner, congrats on a great choice on Kent's pride and joy. I am at home and my boat is in Ft. Myers, maybe we will see you along the way or the '21 rendezvous.

Re: Fuel Pick up tube problem
Nick, Mine had a restriction in the elbow that screws into the tank, the screen that has been mentioned earlier is in the elbow on my boat. I don't know if it was always inside the elbow or migrated up the tube over the years, but that is where it is. During a long crossing from Clearwater to Destin...

Re: Water in engines
I have been down this road a few times. Running on one engine and not closing the seacock will cause this. The next probable cause would be a blocked "piddle" tube. It runs from the vented loop (behind a cabinet in the cabin, follow the 1" water hose from the exhaust elbow) to a small fitting throug...

3. The lines that look like 1/2" Pex tubing are actually 15 milimeter. Not available anywhere I could find except marine supply. I got fittings at Defender, they are made by Whale. As far as leaks, I found one in the salon ceiling near the stbd window where a ceiling trim screw had penetrated into a...

Re: Springfield double helm seat
Stuart Yacht installed mine a few years ago. I was a fairly complicated project but came out great, totally satisfied with the install. After 5 years of use I have mixed feelings. For entertaining the double seat is great, for long passages I would much prefer a nice single seat.

Re: Hydraulic steering bleeding - possible manual mistake?
Hey Tom,
I put an end seal in my starboard cylinder a few years ago, but can't remember the exact method for bleeding. I think I followed the SeaStar instructions, don't remember it being much of a problem getting it bled.

Re: Fuel transfer pump
If my not so photographic memory is accurate, I believe they are pressure switches. Probably designed to shut down the pump if the line is blocked( or valve not opened). If both valves are open and lines are clear, you could easily have a bad switch.
Hope this helps.

Re: Transmission Maintenance Schedule
Tim, I have been down this road, here is what I learned. Be sure the engines are running properly before chasing prop pitch. My injectors had slowly degraded, not allowing the engines to develop full horsepower, so the changes to the props did not really help. After the injectors were repaired the o...
