Re: 1996 32 IN SO CALIFORNIA

"Third Wish" is for sale. Changed my mind about selling last year. But health and other issues have changed it again. Reasonable offers will be considered. Thanks, Mike ... 714 812-3133.

Re: Hello from San Diego!

Richard -

Third Wish is in San Pedro at Cabrillo Marina which is 50 miles or so north of Dana Point, where I live. I will be there today and tomorrow (Sept. 2 and 3) - changing out my engine control cables. Call me if you want to come down.....Mike - 714 812-3133.

Re: Kayak storage

if you have the self tacking jib - no problem - but with a genoa, i would think it would depend upon how far aft it comes when sheeted in tightly, how high it is cut and the angle of the sheets - it might be possible to place the mounts on stanchions further aft of the sheeting angle - good luck!

Re: Kayak storage

Check out Garhauer - they make stainless steel brackets that bolt to two stanchions and hold the kayak outboard. This company makes excellent, robust products.

Re: MYSTERY MAST WELDS - EXPLANATION PLEASE!

Thanks for your help. I'm not sure of the mast height. This is a boat I am seriously considering buying but these welds look peculiar to me. This type of welding just doesn't seem original by design. It is an Altair with the taller mast, but I am trying to determine if this is normal for the Altair ...

MYSTERY MAST WELDS - EXPLANATION PLEASE!

Hoping someone here can help me with this. This seam and spot welds are on a 1997 Altair 32. (my 1996 Classic does not have anything like this) Obviously mast has been sleeved. The seam around the mast is approximately 2 feet above the boom. Mast is made by Offshore Spars. I'm wondering if these wel...

Re: FLASH! PDQ 32 CAPSIZE

On Latitude 38 website there is a PDQ 32 for sale. Anybody know if this is the boat that was salvaged after the capsize? John & Regina PDQ32 'DreamCatcher' hey john - no, that is not the same boat - the boat that is for sale was in southern california (mdr) a couple of years ago - it sold right...

Re: Bow Seats for your PDQ 36

Great upgrade!!! ....this is something I have on my Lagoon and thought would be great on the PDQ.

Any chance you might post a parts/supply list - especially for the fold up hardware you used?

Thanks,

Mike.

Re: Speed Polar Plot for PDQ 32

thanks, drew ... i figured out the error in my thinking .... the mast on the classic is not 45 feet long, but rather 45 feet above the water; whereas the masthead height on the altair is probably 49 feet. as mine is a classic, i have altair "mast envy". hopefully when i get a square top ma...

Re: Speed Polar Plot for PDQ 32

drew -

it is my understanding that the classic (1996 and earlier) have the 45 foot mast
and the altair has the 49 foot mast.

what year is your boat?

thanks,

mike.

Re: Adequate Water Heater Capacity?

Thanks for your input, Drew. I didn't know the hot water had to be turned on full. If that is the case, I'm fairly confident that 1.6 gpm would be adequate although I think the factory fitted the boats originally with a higher output unit. I suppose I would have to turn down the water temp to avoid ...

Re: Adequate Water Heater Capacity?

Thanks, Mike. It doesn't appear that Bosch neither makes this model anymore, nor anything similar. All I could find were vented models.
Does yours have a pilot burning at all times?
