Re: Want to Buy PDQ 34

My 2003 has many extras and is set up for live-aboard and long term cruising. It does not have the 100hp Yanmars, but in many ways this is an advantage since we rarely are able (or want to) cruise above 13kts. This saves fuel and strain on the engine. Bill Carlson 302-230-1537.

Re: Looking to Buy PDQ MV/34 Year 2006-07

I have cruised my 2003 PDQ for the lst 10 years. I believe it to be superior in terms of layout when compared to later models. Priced about $50k less than later models now on sale and with way more features and enhancements including water maker, solar panels, cushions, enclosed flybridge, and many ...

Re: New PowerCat Owner & Forum Member

As owners of a 2003 PDQ 34 we inquires long ago about chartering our boat. We were advised that because this was not built in the USA, it could not be chartered. Do you have different information?

salon window screen removal

I need to replace the screen that covers the large sliding window on the salon port side. Do I have to take out all 20+ screws and remove the entire window assembly, or is there an easier way?

Re: Cruising to Cuba Nov 2016 - Feb 2017 - - Join us?

A few days after posting our interest, we heard about Rhumb line's plan to take a flotilla to Cuba in 2017 - - count us in !!! I'd like to suggest that the organizers consider starting for Cuba in March or April on the north shore and cruising west. Our personal plan would be to depart Cuba after 1-...

Cruising to Cuba Nov 2016 - Feb 2017 - - Join us?

Travel by private boat to Cuba may soon be a reality, but it may take 6 months or more to get a temporary portage license from the US dept of commerce. Our very preliminary plans are to depart the FL Keys after the 2016 hurricane season and travel to Cuba, spending 1-2 months there and then (maybe) ...

Re: Flybridge enclosure??

Once you have a flybridge enclosure, you will never accept less. Our 2003 #29 had the flybridge enclosure when we bought it in 2006. We use it to block the wind and channel the wind which greatly improves comfort for all on the flybridge. Keeps you dry - - even in a driving rain. It also keeps the b...

Re: yanmar exhaust elbow

We replaced a failed exhaust elbow on our 2003 Easy Riders MV 34 with 75hp Yanmars. Both were SS, but only the Starboard one failed. Decided to replace the port side too, even though there was no sign of imminent failure.

Re: 75 hp motor mounts?

I helped replace all 4 on the stbd engine about 3 years ago. My recollection is they were identical. They all had the heavy rubber bushings and they have held up well. Think I got them from Mack-Boring in NJ. I also think they were rather pricey - - about $600 for the set. Made a huge difference in ...

Re: Documentation number placard

Wrote ours in 3" high numbers using a black permanent marker in the forward port compartment. A Coast Guard inspection a few years ago didn't gig me for this.
