Re: Insurance

Sam,
That is the place I called and they said they were only licensed to sell insurance to Florida registered boats.Matt Barres, referred me to Total Dollar Insurance. I have not contacted them yet.

PDQ 32 For Sale

After several years of improving and sailing "DreamCatcher" in the Sea of Cortez we have decided on a new adventure. We would like to move to a PDQ 34 power cat and do the 'Great Loop'. I have listed the boat on SailboatListings.com. http://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/37128 You can conta...

Replacing self tacking jib with genoa

I am thinking about having a second head sail on board to replace the small self tacking jib in light winds.
The head sail is hanked on. Does anyone have a recommendation on the maximum length of the foot?

Re: Most distance in 24 hours by PDQ 36

There are too many variables to forecast a number. We logged 170 NM one 24 hour day coming down the Pacific side of Baja on our PDQ32. It was a downwind ride that held up most of the day. We had a double reef so we could have 'pushed it' and logged more. Saftey is the key as you do not want to get c...

Re: Schackles for the tramp

I recently replaced the nets on 'DreamCatcher' and did away with the shackles and used a Dyneema line. So far so good.

Re: Just bought a PDQ 32 Altair (Hull 32-029)

Congrats!
We bought our 32 in San Diego two years ago and now have her in Mexico.
Does your left turn mean you are headed south of the border some day?

Latitudes and Attitudes

Nice article from our own Drew Frye on fishing Yo-Yos in the May 2011 Lats and Atts.
Also, check out the blog about our dockmates in Mexico regarding their latest adventure with running aground and being hit by a whale.

On Latitude 38 website there is a PDQ 32 for sale. Anybody know if this is the boat that was salvaged after the capsize?

Re: Most travled 32?

We bought 'DreamCatcher' in San Digo and sailed it to the Sea of Cortez. The original owner was from Vancouver BC. I don't know if they had it trucked.
We know that 'Third Wish' was trucked from Texas to California.

Re: Hello from San Diego!

'Third Wish' is near Dana Point I believe. He follows this forum so he may respond. We bought 'DreamCatcher' in San Diego last year and she is now berthed in Rocky Point, Mexico. I am 6' and when you slide the cabin hatch forward there is plenty of head room. John & Regina 'DreamCatcher' PDQ32 h...

Re: Trampoline Nets

Thanks Gus,
I was going to ordeer them from:
http://www.multihullnets.com/
They have the pattern for PDQ's.
I was not going to use a line that streches. I believe I used a Dyneema on our Trimaran.

Angela,
We are sorry to hear about you husband's passing. We bought 'DreamCatcher' after her captain passed away as well.
I hope you find a buyer that will take good care of 'Magic Dragon'.
Take care.

Trampoline Nets

I need to order some new tramp nets from Sunrise and wonder if anyone knows how long the lacing lines need to be to lash together in the middle and at the forward beam?
