Re: Water Gauge
Our boat had gauges for the water and waste tank installed at the factory. My question about the waste/holding tank was for the original poster.

Re: Water Gauge
I have talked to owners who have had James install tank gauges, but the original poster said he wanted to avoid installing senders and gauges.

Re: Water Gauge
That is a very simple idea. What do you do to assess the level of your holding tank?

Re: Repainting center aluminum window frame
I thought I would report my progress on this project. After reading many articles on painting aluminum, I came to the conclusion that I would be very lucky to have the job last any length of time before peeling and flaking again, so I went an entirely different route. Rather than look at the unsight...

Repainting center aluminum window frame
Our 2006 MV34 has the paint flaking off portions of the aluminum center opening window. That is a common problem with all aluminum structures, especially near any dissimilar metal, like the SS hinges. I know that it takes a lot of the PROPER prep to have a hope the new paint will stick for a while. ...

Re: Nova Kool refrigerators
I am looking to add a pancake fan to the existing unit that already has the vent holes. Does that black metal frame come off by removing all the door hinge fasteners? Any other things to be aware of before tackling that?
Thanks,
Thanks,

We live in Punta Gorda and are probably 3.5 hours from Homestead, but otherwise would be willing to help.

Re: Anchoring a Cat...Correctly
Got it, Rafe. I was trying to determine if that method decreases the load carrying capability of the nylon, but I am thinking no.
Thanks. Sounds like a bridle for all conditions (expect a lunch stop) is the way to go.

Re: Anchoring a Cat...Correctly
I see this is a very old thread, but still valid for a multi-hull newbie like me. With only 50 feet of chain on our MV34, there will be many times that we have only the nylon 3-strand portion of the rode at the bow roller. Do many of you (especially those with the power cats, if that makes any diffe...

converting salon table to drop-leaf
Has anyone converted the solid table to a drop-leaf? I assume it is the same Tricel honeycomb core material with the cherry veneer. It would seem to be a job for a craftsman who has worked successfully with that material before.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Sure thing, Sam. Give me a few more weeks for my projects that will have the boat "torn up" and then you can swing by. It will be great to meet you.

Re: Prospective buyer of MV 34
After reading John Watts' post about buying Bermuda Shorts, I guess I should make the official announcement that we concluded the purchase of the former Valentino and now have 'Diva Di' at our home dock on the west coast of FL. People buying through Rhumbline Yacht Sales have a real advantage with t...
