Re: Mid-Chesapeake PDQ Get-Together?

I would be interested in a copy of the rafting guide,Sandy. Would we be permitted to raft as a past PDQ owner? We do love the PDQ's and have projects to discuss?

Re: Delimma in the toy box: seeking suggestions

Did you get the color version? I have the older B&W on our boat. I have used many recording depth finders for hydrographic surveying and was anxious to use the forward looking feature when we got our boat. BUt it doesn't really look far enough unless the water is deep. I haven't found a great ad...

Re: Trampoline Paint

I would check the stitching and have it re sewn if needed. As far as painting, what about the stuff you paint onto inflatables to protect the hypalon fabric or the stuff you put on sunbrella/canvas to protect the stitching. That is a good Idea I may think about doing now that you bring that up. Our ...

Re: Mattress Replacement

After we changed our mattress, we only slept on the boat a couple of times before we sold it. Jeannie found this place in Baltimore that cuts custom foam of all types. She got some kind of 4" stuff that they recommended, and put her own cover on it. If I remember I felt like it was a bit firm to...

Re: Upholstery: PDQ 36 Interior Cushions and Settee

Hey Bob, I am not sure of how much material my CEO( Chief Everything Officer) used on the project.

Amytom.......We used a plastic track for bolt rope and heated it to bend around the curve of the seats. My wife sewed the light weight bolt rope into the cushion back.

Re: Upholstery: PDQ 36 Interior Cushions and Settee

My wife redid our interior cushions in UltraSuede that I got a good deal searching through the internet. Or course my wife found a color that was no longer made. I found a company that had a quantity of it and got a fair deal. It held up well and it is washable, the new owners of our PDQ are still e...

Re: PDQ 36 Electric Outboard Project: Upgrade

When I called the guy at re Epower, he answered pretty quickly. Bill did you try the phone number or just an email. I was thinking about it for the new boat and talked to him about it. He felt his largest unit would work for us in our Voyage, but I am not sure. I think for one of the outboard PDQ's ...

Try Alex at Marinetime plastics in Annapolis. I know they redo those hatchs. I never have done any but they do excellent work. I had a plexiglas door built to replace the old wooden one on our PDQ and a shift control box out of starboard. He also made replacement port lights for me and was reasonabl...

If I remember correctly, I think they will be Rollstop, as the boat was built in 89. Check the height above deck in mm. Then measure the outside dimensions in mm and compare the different sizes under the models

Sandy, yes it is a step up in size from the PDQ, maintenance included. But we are enjoying the boat, not worried about any weather the Bay can throw at us any more. SeaPawsII is 47' with a 27' beam. I'll have to give you a tour sometime.

Sandy, that was me who yelled at you from our Voyage (S. African) SeaPaws II.

Alex..... I haven't gone that far to calculate the weights. The pods can be run from generators only if needed and ideally that would be the way to go for safety sake.

Hey Sandy, I think the pb-2500 set would do the trick for the PDQ 36, I would consider the 4000 for our new boat but I feel it is too long at 60" The 3000's are 32" and the maker said it should work. I want to watch this company and product to be prepared if I have a major failure I may ma...

Engine and Saildrive replacement in One Easy package

I found this site and it seems to be a solution I would consider. Bolt on electric drives like a saildrive and it regenerates power while sailing requiring no engine space. Make a locker out of the engine space, put battery banks there and have QUIET Clean Power. No oil leaks to worry about. http://...

I also found this site and it seems to be a solution I would try. Bolt on electric drives like a saildrive and it regenerates power while sailing requiring no engine space. Make a locker out of the outboard well and QUIET Clean Power.
