Hi Sharon and Larry, I don't remember if I showed you my solution to that problem. It is an MWB 200 made by Port Networks. It works as a LAN system and not WiFi. Sitting here in Marsh Harbor, I fired up my computer and turned on the internal WiFi and got zip. Plugged in the MWB200 and got 15 sites a...

When I installed my radar on 36089, I ran it down the outside of the mast using a pvc product from PYC and then just ran the cable over the deck to the chartplotter in the cockpit. This saves running the wire thru the boat and makes it possible to remove the radar and use it when you are running wit...

If you go to boats.net you can get reasonable parts diagrams for the 9.9. I have found that grease .. often... does the job. There is a NAPA part number for the grease fitting.. try pdq36.com and look in the engine archives... you also might try spraying white grease on the spring mechanism and work...

I emailed Chris Calver and he confirmed the last post. He also said..... The pickup hose is supposed to reach almost to the bottom of the tank. In the bow tank the pickup is not supposed to reach as far down as the generator pickup - to make sure the generator always has fuel and doesn't need to be ...

I have 36089 with outboards. One marine starting battery covers the port engine and 4 golf cart 6 volt batteries that cover the house and the starboard engine. I use a heart Interface 2000 for charging and inverter and have had no issues. When cruising the Bahamas, I used my honda 2000 to recharge e...

Ice Maker on an MV 34
I am preparing to install an icemaker on my new MV 34. I have confirmed that the mfg is Uline. I am guessing that the model number is SP-18. Can anyone confirm this?
Has anyone installed an icemaker themselves? Any advice on power/water supply or the mounting?
Thanks.

I attach it to the anchor line after anchoring but before I rig the bridle. I use a SS carbiner hook to attach it to the line and have a line attached to the eye of the anchor so I can lower it to the correct position depending on the depth. I tie this line just below the furler. I generally try to ...

On Tanah-keeta, I never tow the dingy.... it is too easy to raise into the davits... I leave the motor on.... In fact, I always haul it out each night before retiring... less chance of it doing a walkabout if something should happen during the night.... plus.. less noise. I just purchased a 34 MV so...

I have a CQR 35 on Tanah-Keeta with 60 ft of 5/16 HT chain and 150 Ft of 9/16 rode. The backup is a 35 lb Delta with the same amount and type. chain and rode. Thus pretty much cured the wrapping of keels problem. Whenever I anchor in very deep..15 ft plus... I attach a kellet (sentinel) which is a 1...
