Re: Compression post seal

The cast mast step has a hole in it for the wires to go down the compression tube. I have a piece of 6" plastic siliconed into the recess in the cast step where the wires go down. It sounds like you need to add or re silicone the plastic tube. If the water in the mast gets deeper than 6" I...

Re: New 9.9's on Friday

I replaced the 9.9s with 8hp high thrust yamahas as the 9.9 would not fit into the wells. Hull #4, 32'. Lucky thing I had a good Mechanic as the new harness was 10 pin which we wired into the 7 pin. The shifter/ gas was reversed on the 8s & that had to be changed inside the original shifters. Pu...

Trampoline Paint

Well the sailing is over here in the near north for the winter. I read that painting the Trampoline would prolong its life. I removed it for the winter & am going to put a coat of paint on it. Problem is what paint should I use? Help would be appreciated.

Speed under power

Hi Folks
Replaced my 9.9s with high thrust 8s on my 32 PDQ. Never had the 9.9s long enough to find out speed under power.
What speed can they do in no wind -flat water?

With the 8s we hit 7 kts

Salt water damage

We have purchased a 1995 classic that has been in Provedence Bay since new. We are sailing/motoring the boat back to Lake Huron starting mid May. What preventative maintenence should be done prior to the trip that I might be unaware of due to salt water damage. Does any one have a diagram of the run...

Fuel Consumption

Hi folks We are new to the forum and in the process of purchasing a 32 PDQ. How much fuel does the 2 engines, 9.9 burn per hour? Do you have that figure in Nautical miles? Please specify if that is American or Canadian gallons or litres. Has anyone made the trip from Rhode Island to New York? How lo...
