Thanks SecondWind for your time and expertise. I will give this a try in May or earlier if the weather cooperates. I will let you know how things turn out.

Re: PDQ 32 diesel stop control.
SecondWind, thanks for your prompt reply. The thing I am most concerned about is that the bundle runs through a tube or tunnel between the hulls and it does not look like there is much room. Can you give me your opinion on the following alternatives? 1. Leave the old one in place and use a electrici...

PDQ 32 diesel stop control.
I own PDQ 32 LRC hull #20. The starboard engine shut down cable has always been hard to operate. At this point it is not usable because of internal friction (I think). By the end of last summer I had to disconnect the cable and operate the control arm on the engine by hand to shut down the engine. I...

Re: Compression post seal
amytom,
I will be happy to post a photo once I have one and then figure out how to do it.
what I can do is send you one (as soon as I take one) via regular email and then work on posting it on the forum it will still take me about a week as I will be away from the boat for about that time.

Re: Compression post seal
Catrina, thanks for the info. It seems that my mast step must be the reverse of yours. It consists of a flat piece that mates to the deck with a raised section in the center that the mast slides over and is centered on. After reading your description I went to the boat and drilled a small test hole ...

Re: Compression post seal
Thanks for the info but when I was at the boat on the weekend I lost the courage to go drilling into the mast! Could you tell me if a 1/4 inch hole about 3 inches from the bottom of the mast sounds ok ? Also did you drill a hole on both port and starboard sides or did you use a single hole? Sorry fo...

Re: Compression post seal
Jerry, I have had this problem since I bought my PDQ hull #20. Did you drill the hole in the mast step? and I don't understand about the 6" plastic pipe. Could you explain please. The way I remember my setup is the mast steps on deck in a cast fitting with a wiring tube standing vertically in t...

FRIDGE SWAP OUT
Does any know how to get a fridge in or out of the LRC. I have hull 20 and need to make a change. I bought another Dometic RM 2410 but can't see any way to get it inside the boat. Does any one know if it can be done and if so how!!! Thanks.
