Re: ARC 2010

I saw Diletto in St. Lucia - so they made it across, I believe they came in just before the awards party (I was crewing on a monohull) I had wanted to talk to them, but did not get the chance... roger wood

Re: Genoa questions

I added an aluminum bowsprint (an older 3 1/2 inch spinnaker pole) attached from under the deck forward, then under the bow crossbeam and out 3 ft - and stayed by two ss stays to each of the bows with ss u-bolts and backing plates. Then I bought a used wire luff drifter from Atlantic Sail Traders. I...

Re: Galley cabinet modifications

On my 95 32 that cabinet is for silverware. It slides out and has 3 draws, one each for knifes, forks and spoons. Works well - Roger Wood

Water in Keel?

I feel like I have water in my starboard Keel - First, is this possible (It sounds hollow to me) Second, I know I could drill some test holes but would obviously not want to if I don't have to so - - Is it possible to access the keel by cutting a small access hole in the bilge? I'm hoping someone ou...

Re: Fridge on a 32

I owned a Gemini for 10 years with a propane fridge. no problem, worked great and no problem with insurance. I have one now on my PDQ 3212 and it also is great, works fine, and have had no issues with insurance. It makes you practically electric free. I highly recommend them, obviously you have to b...

Hi Ed, How are you? We used car fabric on our interior cushions. We went to our local shop, picked out car fabric and had him make us new cushions. They look great, stand up to a lot of sun and wear and after a year of living on it still look new. It's a thought - hope this helps.

Key Switch

Before you change the Key switch. Check all the connections. Open the panel behind the key switch and switch the plugs on the 2 key switches. Then you'll know if its the switch. Spray up all the connections and grounds and wiggle the wires. I'll bet it's not your switch. Roger Wood

Water Maker

I Purchased a Katadyn Power Survivor 40E watermaker and installed it but never turned it on when we were going to go cruising. Since we never did make it to the Bahamas it was never used so I removed it from the boat and am selling it. It comes with an extended cruising package, 2 micron filters and...

fuel consumption

You can count on 1/2 gallon per hour per engine. It's probably a little less than this, but this will keep you absolutely out of danger. Roger Wood 12

Outboad warranty

FYI - To anyone who purchased a 2005 Yamaha from Canada (the old style) to fit in their boats. I did, and I now needed a new coil - so I went to the dealer with warranty in hand and was told by the dealer that they could not honor the warranty for these engines because they are known as "third ...
