cold weather & prop questions
A friend from the Chesapeake multihull group posed some questions about his Yahama 4 stroke, which I offered to post here. Re: Remove Mainsail
Hi Jim
On my boat we had a batt-slide system. The cars were inserted and taken off at the bottom of the slide.

That sounds like nonsense to me. I wouldn't pay any attention to it.

Wrap-around (upper salon) windows on PDQ 36
Does anyone know where I can get replacements for these windows?
We are near Baltimore.
Any idea what they should cost?
Many thanks for any replies.

Re: Generator
I have an Entec 4.2 kw. Runs everything.
It is a diesel and lives under the port side aft bunk.
Came when I ordered the boat.
I don't use it too much, but when you need it, it is great to have.
I have probably spent more time maintaining it than using it.

Re: Yamaha 9.9 Problem
Since you say the plugs are new, is the gap correct? Also, I had very similar symptoms and it turned out the oil had leaked out and the engine was prevented from operating above an idle by a safety. Lightning Strike
Well, after 16 years and two boats in the same slip, my number finally came up this June and our boat got hit by lightning. Just about everything that touched an electron or radio wave was damaged. The VERY good news was, nothing else was damaged and the boat is fully insured. Boat US just sent a ch...

Re: Newbie - What to Watch Out for
Obviously, I am biased, but in my opinion there is no comparison between the Gemini and the PDQ. The quality difference is evident everywhere you look. I chartered and looked hard at Gemini before I ordered my PDQ, because there was a significant price difference AND the factory was only 50 miles aw...

My boom is 14ft, 4&1/4in from mast to end of boom.
The luff is 36ft, 1&1/2 inches
Mine is Hull # 96. I don't if your mast & boom are the same.
