Re: Starlink Installation
I completed our Gen 3 Starlink installation and thought some of you might want to how we did it. I did a lot of research, asked for advice from to several boating friends and we came with what I think is a effective solution. 1. I modified the stainless tubing structure of our AFT bimini so it would...

Re: Shower Handle valve
Found a solution... Ambassador Handle Shower Mixer #135-0132-CP <https://ambassadorfaucets.com/135-0132-CP?search=135-0132-CP>. The replacement is a current shower mixer design - much easier to install and more reliable than the old model used on our PDQ's. This is the second time in a year that Amb...

Re: Shower Handle valve
Thanks, Alan! I finally extracted it from the wall - took about 6 hours. I had to destroy a piece of the chrome cover behind the handle to get to the the shaft that went through the wall. Then it took hours to slowly gouge out chunks of rubberized caulk inside the wall. Once the caulk was gone, I ha...

Shower Handle valve
Has anyone replaced the shower handle valve? Mine starting leaking. I'm having a hard time removing it. I suspect it is NOT a major brand model and probably cannot be fixed. Is the brass "T-fitting" on the opposite side of the shower wall separate from the shower handle valve? This caught ...

Sub Panel Breakers
Can anyone tell me the brand of the breakers used in the Sub-Panel above the window at the lower helm? I'm installing Gen 3 Starlink and plan to connect a DC to DC power supply (12v to 56v) to a spare breaker on this panel. However, I need to replace a 15 amp breaker with a 25 amp breaker. Are they ...

Starlink?
Has anyone installed Starlink on your PDQ? If you have done so or are planning to add it (like I am), I appreciate hearing how and where you plan to mount the flat rectangular antenna. My plan is to figure out a way to easily and temporarily mount the antenna and run the cable outside the mast down ...

Re: Hull Parts, Bow Cap and Spray Deflector
Josh,
Could you tell what kind of "filler" you used to patch your Spray deflector? Mine has a few small nicks that I think could be filled.

Re: Replacement Princess Stovetop
We replaced our faulty Princess cooktop in 2016 with a Thetford Spinflo-Topline Cooktop. This 2 burner LP gas cooktop is better built, more reliable, easy to clean and wonderful to cook on (compared to the Princess). The cutout hole needed minor modifications. It is often found in high end motor hom...

Vented cap on Hydraulic Helm resevoir?
I noticed recently that the SeaStar manual for our helm hydraulic system states that the cap on Flybridge helm should be "vented". The upper cap on our system sure looks the same as the un-vented cap at the lower helm. Does anyone have a vented cap on the upper helm? If so, what does it lo...

Re: Hydraulic Steering Rams
I have leak in my Starboard hydraulic steering ram. My port ram is dry. The starboard ram just started leaking recently... got a fair amount of oil dripping under it. I have had any steering problems. I'm thinking the source of the oil leak might be 2 things: 1) I filled up my upper helm steering re...

Re: Galley faucet handle
I bought and tried a Scandvik replacement model (#14023)... It does NOT fit the flex hose. I contacted and sent pictures to Scandivk. The president sent a friendly response saying my handle is NOT one of their models. My next try was Ambassador Marine. They bought Shure Marine some time ago. I sent ...

Galley faucet handle
Does anyone know the brand and model for the standard faucet on our PDQ's? The chrome plating has peeled off my handle and I'm searching for a replacement. I'm making a big assumption that most of us have the same galley faucet attached to a flex hose. I thought the brand might be Scandvik, but they...

Prop Rotation
Which way to my two props rotate? I'm assuming both props turn outward, so that the port prop turns counter-clockwise and the Strb turns clockwise. So the port would be called a LEFT hand prop, the strb is a RIGHT hand prop. Is this correct?
