Re: solar vents
The mold is just on the carpet type liner. I found CLR mold remover worked pretty well. The boats been closed up pretty tight the last 5-6 weeks due to work and the passing of my dad. The boat is tight and we had no issues over the summer. Once I get her hauled and covered we will leave a few hatche...

solar vents
Forgive me if this was previously covered. Ive been messing with the two solar vents for the aft cabin this summer replacing various parts. I noticed when winterizing this weekend we are starting to get some mold in one of the aft cabins so not enough air movement. Have any of you replaced the solar...

Re: Ted Clements
Thanks Thinwater for you input. Ted has a blogg on the Antares web site, suppose I can comment there. I'm a boat builder / fabricator / boatyard manager so building things isn't an issue. Just want to make sure we don't break the boat. The boat is hull number 48 and is about ready for new tramps. I ...

Ted Clements
Good morning ,
Does anyone have contact info or direct email for Ted Clements who did most of the engineering on the PDQ 32. We would like to build a bow sprit for a code O this winter and Steve Killing pointed me in Ted's direction
Thanks
Tim

Re: windlass wiring
Hello
I found the switch in the port motor well up high ! Was interesting the wiring from the directional switch box was under the starboard settee and ran aft towards the switch panel area. Just spent 4.5 nice days on the boat and other than wishing it carried more water it's great !
Cheers

windlass wiring
Good afternoon,
We are figuring out our 32 #48 . It has the original Quick electric windlass. Simple question is there a main breaker some were for it ?
Thanks

Re: Rope clutches ?
Thank you Thinwater,
Those are the units. I found some handles on line that I believe are correct , will see. If you lift the handle there is a XA and rope size marked there.
Hope to be sailing soon, slow start this year in New England
Cheers

Re: Rope clutches ?
I should of added are replacement handles available ? They seem a bit under size in general so I'm not against upgrading

Rope clutches ?
Any clue what brand the original rope clutches are? Specifically on the starboard side by the helm . We have a couple on our new boat with broken handles. Any opinions on replacements ? Spin lock, Lewmar, Antal ? Input appreciated.
Cheers

Came up on the survey. Are the 32's cored below the waterline. This is a 2001 boat if that helps

Re: Solar panels
Thanks Ireman and thin water. I agree with not cluttering up the davits. We have kayaks and a SUP to hang there. May add a pole mounted wind generator and address increasing the panel size next winter. Our big thing is we like cold drinks. Our previous trawler had two 150 watt panels charging 2 -4D ...

Solar panels
We are in the process of closing on a 2001 Altair up in the northeast. We are going to need to increase the house bank size and beef up the solar. Does anyone know what brand/type and output the factory installed panels are ? This boat has three mounted on PVC rails.
Thanks
