Included is a E-120,E-80, radar assembly with dome and all cables. All was in working condition when carefully removed. Auto-pilot not included as it was com...

Re: Upgrading from Raymarine ESeries to Raymarine Axiom

Hi all, I’m not quite ready to take the plunge and upgrade just yet, maybe next year. Meanwhile I’m looking for a auto pilot remote, S100. Mine has ceased to work. I have the original E series system. Anyone who may have upgraded have one to sell? I plan on an Axiom system, but need to save my penni...

Re: Repowering with 4jh110 motors

Hi, sorry for the late reply, but the last few months have been rather hectic. I haven’t been on the forum for months. So here we go, I purchased a 2006 with upgraded 110’s. They are the Yanmar electronic models. They were installed by the previous owner so I don’t have exact cost numbers, but it wa...

Re: Interior touch-up

Thanks. Some useful tips. I will try this, but I will practice a few iMessage on
some less important material. Mainly fixing spot damage as the vast majority
of the interior is very good.
Thanks again.

Re: Water in engines-update

Hi everyone, After careful investigation with my mechanic, my water problem was a freak result of a misplaced fender. While away for the weekend, I repositioned my fenders for my stay as a transient. When I returned to my home port, the newly repositioned fender was very close to the “piddle” hole o...

Re: Water in engines

Was not sure if the the “full” raw water strain container has anything to do with this issue. But my starboard engine strainer is not “full”. It bubbles up water when running and it drains down when shut down. Still working with the mechanic to get to the bottom the cause. Thanks Jim Earl Well Done ...

Re: Water in engines

Somehow water entered the engine, not the engine compartment. Apparently due to some kind of siphon pulling water in through the exhaust. I had noticed for a few days that my raw water strainer was full to the top. I did not understand the implication of that clue at the time. Still trying to figure...

Re: Water in engines

Thanks for such a quick reply. My “piddle” tube is clear, at least is shows water flow when the engine is running. I will check it to see if it is partially clogged. My one thought, it’s possible that my outboard fender pressed against the outlet and the dock, in effect sealing the line and allowing...

Water in engines

Hello everyone, I had seemingly unique problem last week. After a 60 mile run I backed into my slip and shut down my engines.(repowered 110 Yanmars) The nex morning before starting I found the engine flooded with seawater. I pumped out the water / oil, and called a Yanmar mechanic. He responded quic...

Re: Fuel transfer pump

Thanks, you are correct. I removed the pump and went to the marine supply. Myself, the counterman and one very knowledgeable fellow customer solved the mystery. It seems they protect the pump if the breaker is thrown before opening the valves.

Fuel transfer pump

My fuel transfer pump stopped working. I removed it and tested it. The odd looking fittings on each outlet stumped me. The wiring goes to these fittings. One seems to have gone bad. When I wire 12v past the fitting the pump works. Does anybody know what these fittings do? I will attempt to replace, ...

Re: ICW Northbound-newbie

Capt. Conn, I did pass thru Coinjock the end of June. I made it safely home to Eastern Long Island. Good luck with your new PDQ. I found the ICW challenging, confusing, exilerating and terrifying. It was an incredably educational trip. Next time I cruise down I’ll look you up. Thanks to all for your...

Re: ICW Northbound-newbie

Thank-you for your input and for the quick replies. I will dismiss the Dismal Swamp route. I’ll consider going outside at Hampton, but weather will be the deciding factor. It seems everyone agrees that the Jersey ICW is not a good option, again I’ll watch the weather for my run across the water to L...

ICW Northbound-newbie

Hi everybody. I am finally an owner of a PDQ 34. I have purchased hull #97. The boat has new 110 hp Yanmars. It also has a new Northern lights generator. I am currently heading up the ICW attempting to bring my “new” craft safely home on Eastern Long Island from Light House Point Fl. Most of my rese...
