Re: Galley sink saltwater faucet
I'm not sure i understand what the hazard would be by mounting a self-priming pump between the tee under the port settee and the faucet? If the pump quits or malfunctions then the faucet just won't work. It's gonna be a major pain to mount it at the thru hull for the head.

Re: Galley sink saltwater faucet
I'm no hydrologist either, which brings me to this question. Being that the faucet is so far above the water line should I use a self-priming pump or non self-priming or does it even matter?

Re: Galley sink saltwater faucet
Drew, Thx for the link, that Jabsco faucet/pump combo was the one I was thinking of using, seems pretty straight forward. Tired of having to collect sea water off the back steps every evening for dishes. Terry, Thought about the manual pump but looking at the specs for that Jabsco pump 1.5 amp doesn...

Galley sink saltwater faucet
Hi all, I'm thinking of adding a faucet at the sink for saltwater and don't want to install another thru hull. I've already tapped into the hose feeding the head for my watermaker with a 3/4" hose that runs all the way to underneath the port side settee. This 3/4" hose which is now close t...

Re: Dynamat
I can deal with the vibration, its the combustion noise from the exhaust that I would like to minimize. From what I understand Dynamat is like tar with a thin aluminum covering so don't think any foam is involved and can't imagine it would take up that much room. This stuff isn't cheap and thought I...

Dynamat
Curious if anyone has used a sound deadener in the engine bays on the outboard models to kill off that monotonous drone noise or if it would even work?

Re: PDQ (SAIL) Wanted.
Sorry, that might have been in poor taste but thought it comical with Hurricane Matt ripping through the area. I know of a 97 model in Titusville called "Double Exposure" that is in bristol condition with all the upgrades. They have listed it here on the forum. Jim

You will also need to employ a minion to hop down into the lazarette to attach those hoses, a bonafide PIA.

Re: Where does head hose connect to holding tank?
Jim, We have the newer model with separate shower and the discharge hose runs under the floor from the head to the opposite side of the shower where it can be viewed thru the inspection panel at the bottom of the shower. It continues back thru the bulkhead and can be seen entering the holding tank t...

Re: Depth gauge
Hey Bruce, thx for the hot tip. I found the listing and Mancos, Co. is in my neck of the woods. I looked at the pins on the backside of the screen and holy geez thats a lot of pins to solder. Was hoping it would just be "plug and play". While my soldering skills are not the best in the wor...
