Re: PSS Seal Size or Part Number
Hey All, The mid bearing is a great up grade and seems to solve a lot of ills, thanks Greg. I have come across some bearings that had come loose as Russ cautioned about. It was not pretty and a bugger to repair. Installing the new bearing with a clearance fit into the stern tube and secured in place...

Lyons Pride,
Have a look at St. Croix cranes. They can be mounted on the inboard transom area quite nicely, if you have the aft seat/ davits combination.

Re: How to change engine coolant water
Mac, If memory serves, the distribution panel "heater breaker" was to power up the system to a remote switch mounted by the lower helm steps, controlling the on and off for pump and heater blower. Interesting that the heater still puts out, without the inline pump. Perhaps its not needed t...

Re: How to change engine coolant water
Mac, For the boats that had the auxiliary heater install at the factory the usual arrangement was a heater core and fan under the entrance way steps, and a 12 volt pressure pump to aid with flow mounted up high on the starboard outboard hull in the engine room. Not sure why your system is missing th...

Re: How to change engine coolant water
Was the 12 volt circulation pump for the auxiliary heater running?

Re: Bottom of keel photo and question
Yes the keels are hollow, with no foam, and "sacrificial". If memory serves after 20 odd years, the keels were a split mold bonded together with a structural adhesive like Poly Bond and glassed over on the inside. My guess is that the crack is in the Poly Bond joint. If the keels are dry i...

Re: Bottom of keel photo and question
This looks like the joint between the 2 halves of the keel. Was there water in the keel?

Re: Sliding Door
Any marine grade, such as trailer wheel bearing grease works well. Marine over standard grade as it repels water better. Work it into the bearing chase and all should be good.
Doing well, as I hope you are.

Re: Heat Craft Cabin Heater Circulation Pump
Thinking Dennis is talking about the pump for the auxiliary heater installed at the companionway steps. A few boats have them and yes they are loud, check that the mounting is secure. Running only while underway and the ac units when stationary should help with the sound issue.

Re: Sliding Door
All the Antares 44's have the same door ,just a larger size. The later 36's were changed from a bi fold plexiglass door to these as well.

Re: Sliding Door
I posted the door rollers part number on the PDQ 36 page a few days ago. While the door is off its a good time to scrub and flush the track, clean the drain holes and lubricate the top locking pin.

Re: Cockpit Sliding Door
Parts can be ordered thru Bomar, 603-826-5791, part # P601-0008. Door removal should be straight forward. Remove the screws holding the bottom plate, then lift the door up and swing the bottom out. Some of the screws behind the battery box will be tough to get to so a 90 degree rachet may be needed....

Re: cockpit sliding door
Hey John,
If the degraded sliding gear is limited to the 2 roller at the bottom if the door they can be replaced. New rollers and cleaning the track usually makes a huge difference.
