splash guards and vinyl padding protector on outside stairwells

I guess I will start with the splash rails down at the waterline at the bow of the boat. I don't know the correct name or where to find these as mine need to be replaced as well as the rubber guards along side the outside stairs. If anyone can help steer me in the right direction to get these items ...

Re: Yanmar 75hp and 100hp exhaust elbow

HDI marine is a much heavier better built elbow than the original and it ran about 300.00 and fit perfectly but the spacer plate was not easy to deal with as a screw broke off in it and it had to be machined out as there are no replacements out there that i could find. I don't suggest trying to take...

Re: Propeller size for the 100 hp engines.

Duane, can you give me a quick run down on cleaning the turbo and at what rpm do you run the motor while you do this?
thanks

Re: Servicing Rudder Posts

I was able to do the prop shaft packing while the boat was in the water with ...

Re: Hydraulic Ruder Aligbment

in our vessel the alignment tends to be needed after rough water passage and/or maybe extended use of the autopilot. I do keep a spare arm on board just in case but the wife and i check it every time we depart from anywhere because it seems to go out at the most in opportune time. Ours doesn't get r...

Re: Dinghy Hoist

i had upgraded my dinghy while trying to find a more powerful motor on my 9ft west marine and ended up with too good a deal by getting a fiberglass bottom with a 9.8 2stroke. the dinghy was a 10 footer which initially was a issue but with some measurements i costumed 2 strong eye hooks properly spac...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator

i agree with duetto as i have the old style kitchen set up and it appears i would have to cut something to get that thing out. Our fridge needs to be replaced but i would also like to go with another brand. We get buy on portable electric coolers that drawl very little amps. I think I would Sawzall ...

Re: places to stay in the FL keys?

thats great info as we don't mind being on the hook as long as we can dingy over. most of the winds lately seem to be coming out of the east so i guess the west side probably will work out better.....if these anchorages are on my chart plotter i should be able to locate them. I figured you have been...
