Re: Diesel spill

buy a gallon of formula 88 at home depot and pour in. it will break down the diesel. i would think eventually it will find its way into one or both hulls. i thought that the floor of the rear a/c compartment is the bottom of the bridge deck (at least on our 2003).

Re: novacool fridge

hi russ,

it appears that the fan is "sucking" the air out of fridge area and into fuel tank area. i was just wondering why you didn't mount it in fridge compartment. not sure whether or not it would work better.

Re: novacool fridge

hi russ,

i assume picture is taken from inside the locker over the front fuel tank. is there a reason you put fan in there sucking air out as opposed to in behind fridge blowing air out?

Re: sugested dinghy size

hi,

first, i suggest you search this forum at length.

with that said we have a west marine 10'6" rib with a yamaha 15 2-stroke. it planes comfortably with 3 but barely with 4. just fits between hulls and wife and i can handle easily.

Re: Macerator pump installation

we switched and it was one of the best things we did for the boat. i'd take pictures but we are old style (#23) and it has a completely different plumbing setup than yours.

Re: New Owner Questions

hi,

upon further review...dimensions i quoted before on screen frames were for the side facing in. the larger frame facing out are 21-1/8 x 16-1/8. not sure what bomar will use.

Re: Engine Raw water intake strainer

i assume that you're talking about the cover on the outside of the hull. if you mount the cover with the slots facing aft you can get a vacuum created behind the solid portion and cut down on the flow to the engines. the cutout is probably intended to reduce the chance of a vacuum.

Re: New Owner Questions

hi, do you need replacements or just rescreening? ours are bowmars, 20-3/4" X 15-3/4". if you just need screening, it's not hard. you can get screening at most hardware stores. pull the rubber spline out. lay the new screen over the frame. insert the spline in the groove to trap screen. trim excess ...

hi, i THINK railing is 1"{. not sure if home depot has the exact size, they might. if not defender does by the foot. don't trust the guage. on ours, #23, you can pull snder out to check fullness. also, y-valve can leak. what's wrong with genset? wholesale replace sounds radical. steering stiffness c...
