Deck toe-rail?

Anyone know where I might find a source for replacing a section of the powder coated aluminum toe rail on my 2006 PDQ 34'? The 10' section on the aft Stbd side was damaged during a haulout. The shipyard is going to pay for the repair. However, they cannot find a source for this exact toe-rail design.

Re: White gelcoat color?

Our 2006 34' PDQ PowerCat has white gelcoat surface. It's held up well. We are doing our annual haulout now and having some hull and deck repairs done. We're manually matching the gelcoat color. It would be helpful to know the exact "white" color formula... if anyone knows it.

Re: engine/gen insulation maintenance

Thanks! Great suggestion. The foam insulation around my engines certainly needs this kind of maintenance. I'm heading to Home Depot today.

Re: Seacock valve handle

I contacted Forespar and confirmed that my boat uses they Marelon 1" Series 93 valve. They are mailing a free replacement handle kit. They were very helpful. And... thanks to everyone who helped out on this forum... much appreciated.

Re: Seacock valve handle

I'm not sure that seacock in the video is the same. Here are two photos of the one I'm dealing with. Can anyone identify the Brand & Model used on a 2006 PDQ 34' diesel Cat with twin 100HP Yanmars? I think it is a Marelon seacock, but have not yet confirmed that.

Seacock valve handle

The handle on one of my 2006 PDQ 34's engine thruhull seacock broke off. Any idea where I can purchase a replacement handle? The boat is out of the water now for its annual bottom paint job. I need to find one before putting the boat back in the water.

Thanks for the idea to switch browsers. I was having trouble with the site using Firefox. Safari handled it fine.

PDQ Powercat Fuel Performance

Does anyone know how to contact the owner of Sno' Dog. He posted a detailed fuel efficiency study on their 2006 Powercat back in 2006. See: http://www.snodoglog.com/Performance.html It is the best quantitative analysis of the real fuel efficiency of this model. However, the webpage showing the data ...

Re: Hauling Boat - sling / stand placement

Larry, what year is your boat? Ours is a 2006 model. I have a PDF copy of our owner's manual, but I'm thinking parts of it may be different for specific years. Also, I do not yet have PDF copies of the architectural drawings the come with the manual. Drawing #ST-03-04 shows the lift points. I'm trav...

Re: Rule Bilge pump failure

I too had a problem with one of our Rule pumps this summer. We had a fresh water leak at the hot water tank and the pump did not activate. Had to replace it.

Re: Hauling Boat - sling / stand placement

There are 2 small symbol marks, fore and aft, on each hull on our boat indicating where to place the straps. Have you looked at the drawings in your owner's manual? I don't have access to that manual now, but I recall one of the drawings shows the correct spots to place the straps.

Re: Refridgerator removal?

We have a 2006 PDQ Powercat and just had our NovaKool Freezer/Fridge unit serviced. Pulling it out was easy. We just removed the 4 corner screws holding it in place. The screws were covered by small cosmetic plugs - just pry them off and use a Phillips screwdriver. Our unit slid straight out easily ...

Re: New Bimini color

Can't help with the beige question... We're replacing our original Flybridge Bimini structure with a much stronger and more effective design (it should eliminate water pooling and be more resistant to high wind conditions). We are also adding a custom extension that will extend out from the back of ...

Re: Davit failures

I have a 2006 PDQ Cat. I believe this is about the year PDQ upgraded the davit structure. Ours seems very strong. However, I totally agree with Dick -- "the dinghy MUST be secured properly or failure is highly probable. A dinghy that is secured properly should not have more than one inch of lateral ...
