Re: bow running lights
There's only two Powercats here in the Bellingham area (North Puget Sound). I'm surprised there aren't more. It's a perfect boat for island hopping around here.

Re: bow running lights
Great to know you are out there, James. As someone knew to owning a PDQ Powercat, I suspect I've got a lot to learn from you.

Re: bow running lights
James,
Great info and suggestion! Our PERKO Port LED bow light has water in it. I'll look into the Aqua series. Thanks!
Anyone else have water leak issues with their PERKO nav lights?
PS: Were you part of the team that built the original PDQ's?

Anyone know the brand and model for the port and starboard LED running lights on the bow of a 34' 2006 PDQ and where to get replacements?

Re: Adding a battery monitor???
Sounds like Gusto installed the same Blue Sea analog battery monitor that we did on our boat. It is so much easier to track all of the batteries with this monitor vs. the ones that track amp hours only. It instantly shows the state of the two engine start batteries and our 4 AGM house batteries as a...

Re: Adding a battery monitor???
I can't answer your battery 4/0 cable question, but I can suggest a location for the shunt. There is a large open space behind the entry door steps (right in front of the house battery locker)... 4 screws hold the steps in place. Our battery monitor is tied into a shunt located in that area.

Re: Deck toe-rail?
I may have missed it, but Taco Marine seems to make a lot of different kinds of rub rails. I'm looking for the exact model of toe rail that came with my boat. I'll contact them to see if they can help. Thanks.

Deck toe-rail?
Anyone know where I might find a source for replacing a section of the powder coated aluminum toe rail on my 2006 PDQ 34'? The 10' section on the aft Stbd side was damaged during a haulout. The shipyard is going to pay for the repair. However, they cannot find a source for this exact toe-rail design.

Re: White gelcoat color?
Our 2006 34' PDQ PowerCat has white gelcoat surface. It's held up well. We are doing our annual haulout now and having some hull and deck repairs done. We're manually matching the gelcoat color. It would be helpful to know the exact "white" color formula... if anyone knows it.

Thanks! Great suggestion. The foam insulation around my engines certainly needs this kind of maintenance. I'm heading to Home Depot today.

Re: Seacock valve handle
I contacted Forespar and confirmed that my boat uses they Marelon 1" Series 93 valve. They are mailing a free replacement handle kit. They were very helpful. And... thanks to everyone who helped out on this forum... much appreciated.

Re: Seacock valve handle
I'm not sure that seacock in the video is the same. Here are two photos of the one I'm dealing with. Can anyone identify the Brand & Model used on a 2006 PDQ 34' diesel Cat with twin 100HP Yanmars? I think it is a Marelon seacock, but have not yet confirmed that.

Seacock valve handle
The handle on one of my 2006 PDQ 34's engine thruhull seacock broke off. Any idea where I can purchase a replacement handle? The boat is out of the water now for its annual bottom paint job. I need to find one before putting the boat back in the water.

Thanks for the idea to switch browsers. I was having trouble with the site using Firefox. Safari handled it fine.
