Re: Oil Change Pump Recommendations
I use a reverso pump. A 1/2 in hose will fit exactly over the dipstick tube. That eliminates the small messy hose down the dipstick tube. Mack Boring said that the dipstick tube was designed for this.

Exhaust Elbow Spacer
Just had a problem with exnaust leaking into the starboard cabin... actually at a high level. Found out that two of the three bolts holding the exhaust elbow and the spacer to the turbo were broken. This was the same engine that had a broken elbow and sprayed a lot of seawater in that area. If you h...

Raw Water Intake Scoops
I know this has been discussed before, but my searching did not find the threads... I was discussing the port engine running 10 degrees hotter with my mechanic and he asked which way my scoops were facing and I said aft. He said that he has never seen a powerboat that uses 2 engines have them facing...

Re: Prosine "Battery Size" Input for Trojan T-145s
I just replaced my house batteries with Trojan T-105's at a price of $126 each for four from Batteries Plus. The new T-105 batteries have a single cover that fits in the 3 holes instead of the individual screw out fill caps. I had to bend the crossover cables a bit to make enough height to be able t...

Re: Pressure Water Pump Relocation?
Hi Ross, I think yours is the same as mine. It is mounted vertically, head down in the galley bilge with the AC pump. I have seen one boat where they glassed in a board on the bottom of this compartment and mounted the pump horizontally. Let us know how your new pump works.. I am on my second Shurflo.

Re: curtains for front windows
Hi Mary,
Try looking up Oceanair shades. I know they can fit hatches but don't know about the front windows.

Re: Free Mast Supports
These supports are used when you transit with the mast down. They support the mast at the bow and the stern on the port side. They are just wooden supports that attach to the hand rails.

Re: Clogged Sink Drain
You are correct. The access is behind the insert in the sink where the toilet paper is located. The sink drain is a straight run from the sink to the thru hull with a bend just before the fitting. I would try either a small snake or just a water hose to try and blow it out first. Whatever you have i...

Re: Anchor chain hook suggestions
I have 60 ft of chain and use it all every time I anchor. The rolling hitch in the first 5-10 ft if line works fine for me. I do the anchoring while my wife drives the boat. The rolling hitch is really a simple knot but I have to re-educate myself each year on the way to the Bahamas. If you have all...
