Re: Power Issue

Thank you Alan. I believe I’m going to go that route also as I agree suspending that weight feels like it should be done with through bolts.

Re: Power Issue

Sorry, check that…it’s in the starboard closet that’s directly under lower helm! I had a sun stroke moment there….

Re: Power Issue

Finally some inverter inventory…at least Xantrex. The recommended replacement for the Xantrex Pro Sine 2.0 is the Freedom SW which weighs 60lbs! My current inverter is installed on the ceiling of the port side locker closest to the bed. I imagine it weighs no more than 20lbs if that. Alan, I see you...

Our solar controller is mounted in the cabinet of the lower helm station.

Re: 3/4 Forespar thru hull valves

The handle of the raw water intake valve for port motor has been broken off. It’s in on position and I can switch it on and off with pliers, but need to replace. Tough to identify part #. Does anyone know size, manufacturer and part # for this valve? I see question asked before, but don’t see answer...

Re: Transducer Location(s)

Just to close the loop, Garmin guy told me transducers have a useful life of up to around 15 years. He was not surprised mine had just quit. Will rely on my surface mount Raymarine and replace thru hull transducer at next haul out. My lesson is always have a redundancy when it comes to depth sounder...

Re: Transducer Location(s)

Eureka! And there it is underneath the fridge space. Thanks guys. Looks like it’s a thru hull fitting so something I need to look at out of the water. Wonder why it just blipped out as all wires seem well connected. Maybe it’s an age thing….I’d understand that!

Transducer Location(s)

We have lost the depth reading on our Garmin plotter. Just blipped out! We still get depths from our Raymarine sounder and I know that transducer is located under the head access panel on the starboard hull. I can’t find the other one, but believe it to be on the port side. It’s not in the obvious s...

Re: Anchor for 2001 32 MV

We have a Rocna 20 with 90’ chain and 90’ of line and use a bridle between two hulls. I can’t remember when we deployed more than the chain. We have anchored in some very strong currents and never……(I won’t actually say “dragged” here to avoid jinxing myself). Just set anchor well and download a goo...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator

I assume you are talking about the curved piece of wood the actual cushion rests against as opposed to the cushion and back themselves. On our boat that piece of wood has a seam on one end and appears glued on either end so maybe some careful heat. I see Kent Overbeck (prior owner) replaced the frid...

Re: Flybridge Storage Locker Tips

We have an ‘05 and use plastic milk crates for space at upper helm. As an aside, we have the double helm seat and while I’m not a “huge” person, I find I need to remove the seat to easily get into that space to access or organize it. Not hard to remove, but I don’t put things I might regularly want ...

Stanchion Screw Size

I’ve just noticed I’m missing a stanchion screw. Sheesh, how does that happen!? I’d prefer not to remove another to figure out the size so am hoping someone here may know the screw size. If not, I guess I’m screwed and will need to remove another and then reseat both!

Thank you for input. Wow, tough availability! Magnum and Xantrex on back order. Spoke to guy who recommended Magnum over Xantrex, but was concerned Magnum would be able to stay in business. This guys been waiting six months for Magnum parts. Might just go on backorder list and see what happens. I’m ...

Re: Power Issue

I believe my Prosine 2.0 inverter is failing based on “smell”. It’s working, but emitting a weird smell. Prosine 2.0 no longer made. If I change to another brand, assume the control panel will need to be swapped out also or can it work with another brand? I see Mac used a Victron which is available ...
