Re: Refrigerator Temp High
hi, we have a novacool side by side. you said you turned it down to 3, on ours colder = higher number. do you know how old the fridge is? has the outside temp gotten warmer? do you have the same food volume? i would watch and see if it stabilizes at 40 or gets worse. if it stabilizes but won't respo...

Re: Starter Breaker
most likely the problem has been listed here, but here are a few more things: 1) if you have a voltmeter, test at trans neutral sw while someone else is trying to start. if you have voltage in but not out the problem is neutral sw if not, 2) make sure shift lever is truly in neutral. even a little b...

Re: Catch 22

the other thing that is sometimes necessary, always on our boat, is to pull out dipstick (break vacuum?), clean, re-insert, re-check.

Re: Engine Exhaust
based on your observation, i'd say it' not normal. you say that it seems both engines are behaving the same way. that complicates things because there is no oil connection between the 2 engines. you don't mention what the oil consumption was before the service. imho that's a lot of oil consumption. ...

i assume you have a) solar b) topped off batteries c) inverter ==> hot water .....not enough capacity? we have a 750w heater that'll make "hot enough" water in 25 minutes.

heh james, we're up north on our 2003 mainship. it has promariner monitoring syetems. we saw what you're seeing starting about 4 years ago. in our case it has to do with the way the promariner tested the dock connection. they sent a pulse down the grd and tested to see if it came back. the new wirin...

Re: Shaft Seals
nick,
do you have a t on each engine? maybe i'm wrong but i thought one of the purposes (maybe only) of the t is to allow cooling to both seals if you're running just one engine.
