Our boat has Bomar portlight windows. Bomar is owned by Pompanette. Not sure which you have, ours are the oval ones not the rectangular ones.

Re: Yanmar 75hp to 100 hp upgrade
Carl and Joan, I have a 2006 with 75's. My thinking was a little like yours, that it was probably a doable upgrade. After checking I decided to leave well enough alone. If my memory serves me right it would require a turbo, an after cooler, fuel injectors, and maybe a camshaft. Seems like there were...

Re: Upgrading from Raymarine ESeries to Raymarine Axiom
Two years ago we replaced all the electronics. Best move I ever made. Modern, easy to use, touch screen, expanded capabilities and much more reliable. We had Raymarine E80’s and went with Axiom’s. We had already replaced the transducer the year before and the DSM300 had with a CP370. Because these h...

Re: Aft Bimini
Nick,
I was having problems with pictures also. It kept telling me "file to large" even with just one picture. I used the Contact Us tab at the bottom of the page and explained what was happening. They increased the file size I can upload and it fixed the problem.

I didn't know that but it would indicate Dick or Beth would be a good source of information.

Re: Aft Bimini
We are not sure where it was done, the aft bimini was already on when we bought the boat 4.5 years ago. The one rear pole seems to provide plenty of support. Every time we come and go from our house we do lower the radar to get under a low bridge and it rests on a arm on the bimini with out any prob...

Re: Aft Bimini
Mac,
I use a Mac (no pun intended) but with Firefox. I wrote to the Forum System Administrator and he upped the size limit which seemed to work. I will try Safari if I encounter problems in the future.

Re: Aft Bimini
We have a fairly low bridge to go under to get out of our neighborhood and we occasionally have to lower the bimini as a result. That is enough work that we had our bimini lowered about 5 inches. It looks fine and protects from the sun a little more. I would attach a picture but it keeps telling me ...

Re: Painting the Boat
I considered roll and tip at first. It was going to be quite a bit less than 32K, in fact about half. I am certainly not a paint expert but the research I did led me to the conclusion that a roll and tip job would not last nearly as long as a spray job with Alexseal or Awlgrip. There is a boat near ...

Thanks Duane. Mine are Attwood pumps. They do not auto cycle.

Re: Fuel Vent Gurgle?
Duane,
I know that question was for Mac but I am curious, our bilge pumps only come on for high water (never has happened) or if we hit the manual switch to test. Yours actually cycle on by themselves?

Re: Painting the Boat
We did get the boat painted and decided to do everything on the exterior. I do mean everything. If it had gelcoat it got painted. The hull, the deck with new non-skid and paint and the flybridge inside and out as well as new bottom paint and Propspeed on the running gear. We looked at a bunch of pla...

Re: Fuel Vent Gurgle?
Mac,
We get a little gurgling from the head when the water level in the bowl is very low. If we leave the water level near the top of the narrow pipe at the bottom of the bowl, just where the bowl opens up, we don't get the gurgling. Not sure if this is your issue or not.

Thanks for sharing this. We could probably fill these pages up with all the mistakes that would up costing us money.
