Hi Beth, I had thoughts of several suggestions for topics at the Rendezvous. The first would deal with favorite upgrades to the PDQ 34. My idea would be to send an e-mail questionaire to current owners to rate 10 upgrades to their PDQ and a brief explanation as to why their first choice was selected...

Did you consider a hard sided dinghy like the Gig Harbor 10' Navigator (even comes in Kevlar), 9.5' Captain's Gig, or 8' Nisqually? They are all displacement hulls, but you can row, sail or motor them. The Navigator and Gig Harbor also have electric motors that attach to the rudder. They also have i...

Maureen, Thank you for sharing your experience. I believe Sno' Dog had similar shaft support installed at Stuart Marine and also has the four blade propellers. I'd love to hear Henry's thoughts. Jim

Maureen, Are you still considering the Aqua Drives or are you happy with the Stuart Marine solution to the shaft vibration? Did Stuart change the engine mounts to softer mounts when they worked on the shafts? Jim

Pier for a PDQ MV34
I have a lot on the ICW in North Carolina and intend to build a pier appropriate for a a PDQ MV34. Any helpful suggestions regarding distances between pilings, materials, sources of information regarding piers or things not to do would be appreciated.
