Re: MV 34 - 4 blade props

Thank you Henry for sharing all the data on the four blade props on the Snodoglog performance page. I'm impressed. One question for Frank on Kama Kat. What made you think the PDQ's performance, noise level and vibrations would improve significantly with the four blade props. Simon Slater obviously k...

Re: MV 34 - 4 blade props

The benefit of the four blade props seems impressive. Does anyone have any experience with the addition of the Soundown tiles and/or the Aqua drives to the four blade props? Do they contribute much more to the sound and vibration reduction of the four blade props or is the reduction so great from th...

RETROFITTING A SILKSCREEN WINDOW

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RETROFIT A LARGE SILKSCREEN WINDOW IN THE AFT CABINS ? JAMES POWERS MAY HAVE VALUABLE INFORMATION, BUT I'M INTERESTED IN EVERYONE'S IDEAS. I LOVE LOOKING OUT THE LARGE WINDOWS WHILE LYING ON THE AFT BUNK, BUT I'M CONCERNED IT MAY AFFECT THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE BOAT IF THE W...

A Second Head

Eileen and I enjoy company when cruising and I wonder if anyone has had a second head installed in the PDQ or inquired about it. Has anyone inquired and regreted he or she didn't install it? Has anyone installed it and regretted it?

Choosing the PDQ MV34 Powercat

What were the main reasons you chose the PDQ? What other boats did you consider? What specific requests did you choose for your boat you were especially pleased you made. If you were to do it over, what would you have done differently? Let's hear your thoughts and experiences. Jim

Pitching in heavier seas

Bill Parlatore raves about the sea keeping of the new Shannon SRD in the February 2005 Passagemaker magazine. Walter Schulz, the builder of the Shannon, claims that power catamarans pound when the seas pick up. My only PDQ experince has been in calm water off southwest Florida. Is his description in...

advise on options

Bob, I have not experienced the quiet package, but I'd encourage you to get it. Most everyone would prefer a quieter boat to a noisier one and would pay more for it. Does the quiet package include Aquadrive, water separator, engine sound shield, circumferential sound insulation in the engine compart...
