36 LRC diesel leak mystery: Yanmar Issue?
From the amaunt of diesel you are describing inthe bilge it sounds like you should be able to see at least a drip - the return lines will only have a flow when the engine is running. If there is an inline fuel issue your engine will be very hard to start, possibly requiring bleeding before it will s...

Re: PDQ 36 Electric Outboard Project: Upgrade
All, Our needs our basically for getting in and out of the slip and since 1/8 hp trolling motor will move the boat, I'm sure that 5 or 6hp will move us just fine. Since it requires 24v operation in the short term I'll install 2 group 24 batteries and a seperate 24v 8A trickle charger. The reason tha...

PDQ 36 Electric Outboard Project: Upgrade
The Story: I'm pretty sure that we have hull No. 12, II the Max (formerly "Buckaroo" - we had to change the name). This boat was built with a single Yanmar 24 HP diesel inboard in the port hull. Once underway she handles great, easily cruises at 6-7 Kts burning under .75 gal of fuel per ho...

Re: Hot Water Heater - Low Draw Option
Our boat came with the standard propane demand heater and our insurance required us to remove it. As a replacement we added a simple 4 gal marine electric water heater and mounted it in the port aft hull (all the way at the rear of the compartment above the shaft log). I'm a little nuts about keepin...

Re: Shower Faucet
K, Our PDQ 36 came with an after market dish sink sprayer and the one problem we had was that the plastic hose had a terrible odor. We finally took the hit and ordered a new Scandvik Sink-Shower head with the metal flex hose (and water saver valve). As you mentioned it was definately "boat buck...

Re: Hull ID: How do you tell which hull you have
Thanks for the responses - ours is the same format with "QPQ" so I'll check and we can add our hull No. to the Owner's list.

Hull ID: How do you tell which hull you have
- I was looking at my Hull ID, we have a 1991 PDQ 36 Classic and I'm not sure which part of the ID is the Hull Number.
Thanks,

Re: Rubrail - Did you ever find any of the Sailing Toerail?
J, Did you ever have any success locating a piece of the TACO Marine rub/toe rail? I need about 16' and don't want to buy a full 34' section either. I'm going to be checking around the Annapolis area for sources. Thanks to your post, I saw that the material is still available. Let me know how your s...
