Tampa Girl is going to be due for some new topsides paint this winter. Anyone have first hand experience with having top sides painted and care to share helpful hints?
I have painted smaller boats before and we intend to contract this task out to professionals.
Thanks.

Yanmar mechanic on Fla. west coast
Anyone have any suggestions for a Yanmar mechanic in the Sarasota/Tampa Bay area? We have had great experiences with the mechanics on the southeast coast, but it seems like the mechanics we have used in the Tampa Bay area either break more than they fix, leave the boat a mess, or never show up. Just...

Re: Thru Hull Transducer
We installed a 527ID Furuno In-Hull (shoot through hull) transducer 1kW broad band 50/200 KHz in the area below the covering board in the head. Works great.

Re: How to screen off deck gap under aft seat
On Tampa Girl we use the this netting from West Marine. Lifeline Netting, 10'L x 2'H Model # 119669 | Mfg # 126 | UPC # 25282005048. Its secured with a small diameter rope around the perimeter, including across the bottom. Lasts about 4 years before destroyed by the sun. Paid for itself 10X over by ...

Re: window gaskets
Middle forward (operable) window uses a different gasket. Once we figure out what the part number is, we'll post.

Part number for the fixed window gasket is 30-1135. Call Pompanette @ 603-826-5791. Great service. Price is about $3.50/foot.

Re: Thru hull handle
There are two sizes of handle and the O-rings are proprietary. Forespar will send you the parts you need. There is a plug in the handle that covers a phillips head screw. remove the screw and the handle can be pulled out. You'll need a very short screw driver or a 90 degree angled screw driver. It's...

Re: Yeti Coolers Aboard?
We use a Yeti Tundra on the fly bridge against the back railing for another seat facing the bow. Been meaning to see if one of the small Yetis will fit where the small igloo is now. Agree 100% re the Yeti's unbelievable ability to hold ice. We own several. I had a Yeti blow out of a flats boat being...

Is it the elbow that exits the expansion tank (see attached schematic part #10)?
What are we looking for (loss of section, blockage)?
Thanks.

Temporary dockage in St Lucie, Fla?
We are looking for a couple of weeks dockage in St. Lucie, Fla, 5/26 through 6/11 for Tampa Girl. We are bringing her over to St. Lucie from Tampa enroute to the Abacos. We will not need water or power. We will not be staying aboard and just need a place to keep the boat until we run her to the isla...

9'6" dinghy
We are upgrading from our small Aquapro RIB to something larger (probably a 9'6" Mercury). In addition to being longer, and a bit heavier than the Aquapro, the Mercury is also beamer. We know we will have to raise and lower the boat on an angle to clear the inside of the hulls. We'd like to hea...
