Re: new owner with questions

I believe I have the manufacturer, part number, and contact info for the window gaskets. I'll dig it out tomorrow at the office.

Re: Listing to port

Happy to see another PDQ in Tampa Bay! Check for water in the port bow crash bulkhead compartment. The access is through the deck plate just forward of the generator locker. We have only had our PDQ for a year or so, but let us know where you are docked and if we can help with any systems. Happy to ...

Re: Stiff Steering

Just closing the loop- the rudders were about 15 degrees out of alignment. Problem solved. Thanks!

Stiff Steering

Tampa Girl developed an odd steering issue on the way back from the Bahamas. At stop or anything below about 7 knots, the steering is normal. The wheel turns freely lock to lock. However, above 7 knots, and especially above 12 knots, the steering is extremely stiff. There is no play in the rudder po...

Re: IPad Navigation

We use the Navionics App on an iPad and iPhone as back up for the Furuno chart plotters. We mainly use the App in the same manner as we would use a paper chart. The App is very good and we use it constantly on the boat and at home. Back when the App first came out it was about $5, now it's around $2...

temporary dockage in Stuart FL area week of May 28?

We are planning on taking Tampa Girl f/k/a Lulu to the Bahamas in June. Does anyone know of any dockage in the Stuart area that will be available for the week of May 28-June 1 where we could leave the boat unoccupied? We will not be aboard her during the week, so a power hook up is not required (but...

Seacocks

Anyone know what manufacturer supplied the seacocks on the power cat? (Surveyor stepped on one of the valve handles and broke it off.)
Thanks.

Re: Ceiling (puck) lights

Thanks, but what I was looking for was a replacement for the fixture itself, not just the bulb. I already swapped out all the halogens for LEDs. Much cooler. When I plugged in the new LED on one fixture, I inadvertently and unknowingly pushed the female receptacle out of the light housing. By taking...

Re: Must Visit places on the West Coast of Florida

Cabbage Key is great for a cheese burger and beer stop. Boca Grande is more up scale- Boca Grande Marina f/k/a Miller's has good food and walking distance to quaint "downtown" Boca Grande. Dockage at Boca Grande Marina was fine for our 34, but I am uninformed whether they can accommodate t...

Ceiling (puck) lights

We need to replace one of our ceiling lights ( the white hockey puck type). Anyone have an idea where to obtain one? The back of the light says it is an "RV Luminaire" but a couple of hours on the Internet have me no closer to locating a replacement.
Thanks.

Re: Water into fwd port storage

If this is a new occurrence, also check the integrity of the "clam shell" on the interior of the intake. Ours had pulled off the hull allowing water to just dump into the port hull. Some 5200 and 1x2s as wedges to hold the clam shell in place while the 5200 cured, and the clam shell is bac...

Re: st600R replacement?

I have a wireless S100 on my World Cat 27TE. Very convenient when it works, but I have replaced mine twice. As I recall a new one is only about $100. I like the remote on the World Cat because I am never far from the helm, but on a PDQ, I would be concerned that the remote was below when the captain...

Sold-Anchor- 32 Lbs. Kingston plow (CQR Type) for sale/trade

Like new 32 pound Kingston anchor, similar to CQR plow. For sale $200 obo (new list is $350) or trade for Fortress or Guardian anchor +/- 15 Lbs. I need a stern beach anchor and have no use for this heavy plow anchor. Located in Tampa, FL.
