Re: Electric start

First of all I see you list as a PDQ32+; is this Drew's old boat? Thought we were the only two with the extensions. For the starter motor, sounds like the starter or solenoid shorted out when you had your line wrap (that happens to all of us eventually). After the new fuse is in is the starter wont ...

Re: PDQ32+

Check out the Atlantic towers website for the weight and pictures of the mounting hardware. If you search my posts on this forum you’ll find pictures of our install. We still have the aft rail in place but are working towards getting rid of it (as soon as we figure out where to put dinghy engine). W...

Re: PDQ32+

We added the arch before the extensions and it worked out well. We went with Atlantic Arch bolt in kit. The two feet also matched the flow of the hull. I wanted to keep the flow the same all the way back and 2’ was where it almost matched the deck height of the bottom step. I still wanted a small ve...

Re: PDQ32+

about 24" is the right length. Yes she rides much better. I didnt think of adding to the rudders as they work well already; I imagine it might help in extreme conditions but I never felt the need. The cost was about $1500.00 in supplies then another $1500.00 in yard fees because my work schedul...

Trampoline idea

Almost time to renew my trampoline again. Wanted to get opinions on changing the layout for my 32. Currently have the two piece tramps that have a bolt rope on two sides and are laced to the front beam and to each other. That leaves a bit of a gap right down the center. Has anyone tried a one peice ...

Re: History of hull 89

Do a search on here for the name Tanah Keeta. You can get a sense of one of the previous owner's dedication to the boat.
Always employ a surveyor to check it out though; they look at it with a practiced eye and no emotion attached.

Key switch replacement

Had one of my key switches fall apart on me. Looking at Boats.net its not readily apparent which part number is appropriate for a '95 PDQ.
Does anyone have a part number or better yet a spare laying around?

Thanks

Tom

Re: Windlass and Anchor Chain

Also, what kind of access do you have to the anchor locker? On starboard side we just have small spring loaded deck plate to feed the mostly rope with 8’ chain road for our fortress back up anchor. For that side I would install throughdeck vertical if I needed one. The port side locker has a large h...

Re: Engine and Power Tilt Trouble

Start by reseating the big connector of the main harness on the engine side. If still an issue check the fuses and maybe a loose connection “under the hood”. Probably not the solenoid if both happened at the same time.

Saw it on Facebook. She dragged anchor and ended on the rocks. She's being cut up and scrapped.

Wow! Although judgeing from the white stuff all around you, your latitude is off by a few degrees. You’re supposed to sail south until the butter melts. ;)

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.

Just an update on this. The standard off-white model isn't tall enough. The part number to order is NT2070-2.25-W. That is 2 1/4 inches tall but is straight white, close enough. Careful on pricing though; I was quoted $58.00 each plus s/h. They shipped in two boxes and charged me another $53.74 + ta...

Re: Winterizing

I was working in Amarillo last week and overheard some people talking about going skiing. My first thought was, “I wonder what kind of boat they’re using.”

Different climates for different people.
I don’t mind sweating.
