Re: Sliding Door Weather Strip?

John, We are hull 81. I assume it is the same door as yours but I am not sure. We have not had the leak issue you are dealing with but I did replace the rollers on the bottom of the door. Pompanette Bomar made the door. I have attached the invoice with the phone number and maybe some less my persona...

Re: Fresh Water water flow PDQ 34

Nick, We have the 3.2 GPH whale pump and we find it provides plenty of water when working well. We have had some pump failure issues though that I now believe were related to mineral deposits from the water tank. You said you don't think there is a flow problem to the pump. If that is the case then ...

Re: Boat Yoga

Nick, Although some would argue I should be, I haven't been doing any yoga and I do manage to get in most of the tight places on the boat. When it comes to the engine compartments, I always take the white engine cover off and the vertical engine room divider off at the rear of the engine. On the cha...

Re: New 2004 PDQ 34 MV Owners

BJ and Jinny,

Welcome to the group. We are on the other side of the state in Palm Coast. We plan to be at the PDQ meeting in January so we will have a chance to meet.

I also put a clamp on the pick up line above the whale fitting to prevent it from dropping deeper into the tank.

Re: Fresh Water Pump Problems

Mac and Duane, thanks for the input. After reading it I decided to go through a step by step process. This is going to be a bit long but it may help someone else at some point. There is a question for Mac at the end. I decided to be sure I did not have a flow problem so I took the aerator off the si...

Fresh Water Pump Problems

We have a Whale UF1215 Fresh Water Pump. I should say we have had 4 of them now in under 4 years of ownership. We probably only average 4-8 weeks aboard each year. I will add we do not have a water filter onboard and are not sure if that is having any impact or not. I think we may be having a proble...

Re: Flybridge enclosure

This does not answer your question at all Mac but I thought I would tag onto it as this is sort of related. We are in Florida so we are not really interested in a plexiglass addition or a full enclosure but we have thought about an eisenglass front windshield for chilly days that would be easy to re...

Re: Painting the Boat

George, Thanks for the reply. I spent the last couple days going over the boat and think I am going to focus on the topsides for now and may even narrow it to the outer parts of the flybridge. I am going to begin talking to places including your suggestion. I will update when I decided something. Alan

Painting the Boat

I think our 2006 has been in the Florida sun since it was new and our gelcoat is beginning to wear through on the hull and front of the flybridge. I am thinking about having it painted this year. Has anyone had there boat painted? If so any information you can provide about the yard that did it (if ...

Re: A Second Depth Sounder

Mac, Our problem was different than yours. I had problem with the depth readout but never got a DSM data lost message. The electronics guy replaced the DSM-300 with a CP370. The DSM300's had manufacturing problems and Raymarine extended the warranty for a long time. I think that may have run out tho...

Starboard Anchor Guide

Our Starboard Anchor Guide on the deck is cracked and split. It looks like it is a single piece that was machined to have the raised edges. Has anyone replaced theirs? If so, what did you do? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Alan
