Capella Sail Area ?
I'm attempting to determine just how much sail area (Main, Genoa, Jib) a typical Capella carries. Seems the information typically provided by brokers is notoriously inaccurate and the information in the online Capella manual is incorrect as well (the data is representative of an Antares not a Capell...

Seamanship Question
Looking for opinions and thoughts relative to proper method to fly an asymmetric spinnaker. The manual suggests the use of strap head sheeting blocks made down to the aft cleats and the use of a rope bridal fitted with a snap shackle in the center to which the tack of the sail is secured which in tu...

Re: SD20 saildrive diaphragms replacement
Jeff,
Forgive what may be a stupid question but what exactly is the alarm connected to? Start up panel? Visual? Audible? Do engines need to be running for it to function?
Thanks!

DUX Catamaran Inflatable Dinghies
Anyone have any experience with these inflatables? They appear to be an interesting option. They claim they: 1) Are more stable, therefore safer! 2) Have less wetted surface area! 3) Can make sharp turns at speed! 4) Require less room when stored! 5) Can use smaller, lighter weight motors! 6) Are ra...

Saildrive oil change
Anyone come up with a creative way to reach the saildrive fill cap without entering the engine compartment? I'm just a few "pounds" and a few too many "inches" to gain access!

Contacted Salwa below was her reply on the status of PDQ. Hi Phil, Good to hear from you too. The short version is that PDQ has been divided (both under new ownership) into a sailboat and powerboat division. Rob Poirier, with some investor backing, bought the molds for the Antares 44 and will contin...
