Re: Boat Insurance
I did eventually get the policy cancellation notice also. I also contacted GEICO and would up renewing with them. Our agreed value is $232,000. That is down from $243,000 in the old policy. $232,000 is the max they would write it for based on their values. Most of the rest is similar to last year. T...

Re: Propeller size for the 100 hp engines.
I did it on my 75's. They don't have an after cooler. One of the turbo's had been sticking a little and not spinning freely. It did fix the problem. A couple of months ago, I had an exhaust leak between the turbo and a spacer that is between the exhaust elbow and the turbo. I had to take the turbo o...

Re: Boat Insurance
Our GEICO Policy through Triton expires on February 8, 2022. I have not received the cancellation notice yet but called GEICO to check on a new policy. First they are suggesting you first talk to you current independent agent and give them a chance to find you a new policy. If you tell them you woul...

Doug, First, you may be aware already but be sure to pass through the Saint Lucie Lock before the end of the year. There is a Jan. 2 scheduled closure per this link. https://www.saj.usace.army.mil/Missions/Civil-Works/Navigation/Notices-to-Navigation/Notice-to-Navigation-2021-021-Okeechobee-Waterway...

Re: bunk lights(?)
John, Your lights are completely different than ours. Ours are goose neck lights. Someone may have the same lights as you and may have the answer. My thoughts. Looking at the picture, I would first try twisting the lens cover gently which I assume you have already done. Next, you could use a magnify...

Re: Cutless bearing story
We have what I think is a very little vibration in the starboard shaft. The alignment is good. I am beginning to suspect the Cutless bearing or a slightly bent shaft. The engine has been aligned in the past couple years. We have had the boat almost six years and have never done any work on either. I...

Mac,
I think that is our hatch, they were they are definitely from Bomar. Call Bomar and ask them befor you order. I bought all new gaskets for the portlights and they had very helpful customer service.

Re: Hauling Boat - sling / stand placement
Mike, Our 2006, hull 81 has the triangles marked on the hull in the locations you describe. I had never studied the diagram in the owners manual until you raised the issue. My diagram has the lift points in the same location as your diagram. The boatyards have been using the marks on the hull and th...

Re: Hose lengths- head to holding tank, macerator to overboard seacock
I just replaced my hoses with the Raritan Saniflex also. Head to holding tank and macerator to through hull was just shy of 22 feet. My macerator is mounted on the bulkhead that backs up to the shower. I used 7 feet. I did not use the old hoses to pull the new. I fished the new ones in from the hold...

Re: Hose From Heat Exchanger to Turbo on 75 hp Yanmar
Mike, I have the 75's and they both have the hose to the turbocharger with the offset. I just checked them and neither has a kink. They are probably original. They both have the braided line on the outside like the second picture of yours. I realize a kink would probably shorten the life of the hose...

I have not. There was a discussion on the forum in 2019 when an owner was considering it. http://www.pdqforum.com/viewtopic.php?f ... let#p14656

Re: Bridge Closure on ICW?
I get an update on anything affecting the ICW every couple of weeks from BoatUS. It is called: BOATUS EAST COAST ALERTS. It is free for BoatUS members but you do have to sign up for it. I find it very helpful for finding out about things that are not on the charts. I went through and found work on 5...

Re: Hurricane Mooring Aft Cleats
We have them and they were added by a prior owner. On the subject of extra hurricane pilings, we went an alternative route. We have a dock at our house and we had a SlideMoor installed about four years ago. I love it. Our dock is a fixed dock. We added two very long pilings exactly where to aft and ...

Thank you both for the replies. I tried the switch and it didn’t seem to make a difference. Looked at some other things but did not think I was successful. We docked in Ft. pierce for the night plugged in the power and we have outlets again. Not sure how or why. I have been planning on replacing the...
