Thanks Drew! What dimension of the slug do I measure? The width side to side (where mast is up/down)?

Sail slides- where to buy?
We have a broken mainsail slide on our 1991 PDQ 36. It looks like its nylon... Any idea what size and where to buy?
Thanks,
Doug

Re: Installing new engines and engine steering lock- tips?
Great back saving ideas everyone. In the end, I just lifted them out and put the new ones in by hand. It wasn't bad at all and the lift line acted as a safety to some degree. With the new remote cable setup, I am pretty sure I could have an engine out in 10 minutes. Much easier for sure. I had to cu...

Re: Installing new engines and engine steering lock- tips?
Thanks Tom! The main halyard through the hard top opening should work, and I can use a pool noodle for chafe protection as you suggest. Brilliant! Our boat is at a private dock on Merritt Island near Dragon Point (just north of Mather's Bridge). I have some help already, but really appreciate your o...

Installing new engines and engine steering lock- tips?
I am installing new Yamaha 9.9's into our PDQ 36. What is the trick to removing and installing to minimize back aches? We have a hard top, but I'm not sure I want to stress the aft part of the hard top. I was thinking about using two 4' 2x4's spaced apart and bolted together and using a come-along s...

Re: Looking for a slip....Melbourne, FL area
I wasn't aware of the 25% width requirement, that will definitely limit options on finger canals.
Thanks Sam!

Looking for a slip....Melbourne, FL area
We are currently docked on the Banana river near Mather's Bridge, but we are a bit more exposed to wind and waves than we would like to be. Does anyone know of any private slips available from the Grand Canal (Satellite Beach) down south to Sebastian Inlet? I know there are several PDQ's docked at p...

PDQ 36 port windows- gasket
Does anyone know if/where we can buy a gasket/seal for the PDQ 36 portlights (the opening ones in the staterooms and bathroom? From my research it appears they were made by Bomar but unfortunately it appears that Bomar may not be supporting spares at this point? I was thinking about cutting a piece ...

New owners of PDQ 36 Hull #14
Hello everyone, Back in September we purchased a PDQ 36, 36014, from Lee Henderson (formerly Brigadoon II). We had a great purchase experience and Lee and his friend helped us get the boat from Marco Island to Melbourne Beach, FL. We sailed up from Marco to Fort Myers on the tail end of Hurricane He...
