Bob,
I hear what you are saying - it has more to do with my discomfort with disassembling the Max Props. Lets call it the Humpty Dumpty syndrome .

Re: Yanmar 2 piece Saildrive Zinc Kit
As a point of clarification the zincs in question are the ones that attach directly to the saildrive (not the shaft). Unfortuantely the it appears yanmar has cornered the market on these units - see my correspondance below from Bob at BoatZincs: Phil, Okay, here's the poop. My foundry (CMP Global) j...

Yanmar 2 piece Saildrive Zinc Kit
I'm hoping to replace my existing one piece units in order to avoid the need to remove my Max Props to replace the zincs which is a real pain. Problem is these conversion kits seem to be hard to come by! Does anyone have any experience with these split zincs? Any supplier recommendations?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Bow Pulpit Seats
Nice work!
My bow pulpit is set up a little different - no horizontal frame for attachment - see attached photo for reference.

Bow Pulpit Seats
Has anyone added bow seats to their Capella? Seems simple enough as a DIY project. My preference would be the type that fold up for access when needed. Thoughts? Photos?
Thanks!

Check out the above link for an evalution by US Sailing - they do no think too highly of the Radar Flag's effectiveness under normal conditions!

Parts for Force 10 - 2 Burner Built-in Galley Range
Anyone have a good source for Force 10 Galley Range parts? I need a new thermocouple and the associated solenoid.
Thanks!

Re: A/C on a 32
FYI - You may be better off with the unit you have! The following admittedly somewhat bias comparison of resistive vs. reverse cycle units is excerpted from Flagship's web site! This is not meant as an endorsement of either system just food for thought! FLAGSHIP COMPARISON FOLLOWS: The two typical m...

Re: Sail area
Thanks for the update! It brought back memories of long ago when I lived in Ellicott City and frequented the Inner Harbor on a regular basis prior to its development! The many ethic festivals held in the Summer were something special! Sounds like you had a great time racing! That's the kind of low k...

When I posted this message (2007) I was looking primarily for an online version of the Yanmar SD20 Service Manual. I've never found one!
Yanmar zinc bolt numbers would be helpful if you have them!
Thanks!

Re: Sail area
Dan, As a follow-up I did find the following PHRF rating for a PDQ Express which I believe is Mr. Slaters racing (i.e. stripped down - Hull 97 I believe) version of the Capella on the Web which may be of some interest. I don't believe our boats would have a rating anywhere close to the 78 listed bel...

Hatches or Portlights - it sounds like you are describing a Portlight hinge or am I incorrect? In either case your homemade fix sounds like a good idea!
