Re: Generator Problem
Another couple of thoughts... remove the rubber boot at the exhaust elbow and see if it is plugged. When mine failed, I immediately assumed it was the heat exchanger....bought one, installed it, tightened up the boots real good and started the genset. The rubber boots started blowing up like a ballo...

Re: Generator Problem
Hi Chet,
I had a similar problem. The issue turned out to be a plugged exhaust elbow. It pressurized the heat exchanger and the rubber boots that seal it. Sea water then flowed into the the water tank and it pushed all the coolant out the overflow and replaced it with seawater.

Re: Water supply
TK III (hull # 108) came with the water inlet installed. I have never used it because I was concerned that I could fill the boat with water if any connection failed. This has happened to friends of mine.

Re: Hammock Locations
When we had our 36, we would use a single point tie hammock. Tied it off to the spinnaker halyard and the furled jib. really nice.

Re: Nova Kool problems
It seems that the problem was refridgerant level.....initially not enough, then too much....I am now reducing it a little at a time and the fridge is acting normally. When we replaced the compressor, we added a schrader valve so I can reduce or add refridgerant as needed. What a ride this has been.....

Hi Chet,
I have found that centering the rudders will solve the stiffness at speed.

My Nova Kool Fridge is acting up and looking to see if anyone else has had this problem. When installed in the wall, it freezes ice well but the fridge is at 45-50 degrees.
