Outboard Lower Unit Removal
The impellers are working fine. I have good water flow and no overheating problems but, with manufacturing dates of 1999 and 2000 respectively and 400 hours on both, I suspect the water pump impellers are soon to fail. How do you loosen and remove the lower unit from the Yamaha 9.9s? I have removed ...

Re: Condensation on bulkhead forward of fridge
Oh Yah! I believe I took the easiest route, however. Moving the compressor lines, wiring and some how getting it all back in again did not appeal to me. The hole in the settee is not obtrusive at all. As a result of cutting an access hole, I discovered a lot of available storage space behind the set...

Re: Condensation on bulkhead forward of fridge
We have not experienced the condensation issue you all are having up here in Virginia, but I did add insulation to our refrigerator just to reduce the run time of the compressor on Wind Seeker. We have the later upright model. Materials needed are one ¾ inch thick 4 x 8 sheet of Mylar faced Styrofoa...

sailcover still here
Sorry for the delays is responding to emails but we have moved to the Smith Point area of Virginia and had very limited internet access until recently. When I called Mackpack, they had our dimensions in their data base but I provided the required dimensions on their order form anyway. The cover came...

Sail Cover for PDQ36
We have added a Mack Pack mainsail cover to our PDQ 36. For sail is our dark blue Sunbrella mainsail cover. It is a used factory model with some rubs here and there, but still looks good and has several years left on it. Send me an email at b24reuter@northernneck.com if you are interested. It comes ...

Espar D8LC for Sale
We are selling a little used and factory installed but gently removed Espar D8LC diesel heater from Wind Seeker a 2002 PDQ 36. We simple do not need it. It is complete with all controls, fuel tank, fuel pump, some duct work connections and unions, S/S clamps, etc. Really is a plug and play set up. e...

Water Heater Replacement
After many frustrating hours of work and numerous calls to the factory, our 4 year old Precision Temp water heater could not be made to operate again after a lightning strike fried the electronics. We finally gave up on it and the prospect of a new one for $1500.00 and bought an Excel demand hot wat...

Compass Error Possible Cause
Ed, Although still not corrected, I did discover a strong magnetic interference in the vicinity of the engine throttle/shift cables. A magnet will stick to them. They are gray colored ones stamped Yamaha, but I suspect they are Morse or some other make. I will attempt to balance the magnetic disturb...
