Thanks for the advise. For those that use only one unit, where is it located, and how is the ducting run? I also assume all of these are water cooled?
Thanks,
Bob Gruber

air conditioning
I've asked the question in the recent past about portable vs. installed air conditioners - but my wife decided she wants the whole boat colled while at the dock. Specific to the 32, where is the best location? I've looked to ways to snake a 4" hose for ducting bwtween the hulls, and cannot figu...

Bahamiun mooring
As a new owner, I found myself several weeks ago on the Savannah River, where most, due to the change in currents, use a bahamiun mooring. I could do this readily with my monohull with the full keel, simply by running both rodes through the same bow roller, and setting the the second one off the ste...

Re: Lexan window bedding
I have used the butyl tape on a previous boat. Yuo can purchase it in various widths (1",1/2", etc.). Google RV websites and order it online. I used it for Lexan hatches, and thought it worked great. Less messy also.

Air Conditioning
I recently purchased a PDQ 32 without any air conditioning. I could sleep in the middle od summer in Florida without it, but my wife has higher standards. (in air conditioning -not in choice of husbands). I know many have the built-in units, and some use the portable place-on-the-hatch units. I woul...

Shrouds/mainsail rubbing
As a new owner, I'm finally getting a chance to do some sailing. I've noticed, even on a beam reach, the main is up against the shrouds a fair amount of time. Has anyone found a way to reduce the potential wear with sail patches, etc?

Re: New Owner with Questions
Thanks to both. I have been looking at the Sail Delmarva and zerotocruising sites for awhile. Learned a lot form both. I also contacted James to find out where he is.

vibration in sole/bulkhead from engines
I am trying to be careful, and not call it engine noise or engine vibration, because it is the vibration in both the cockpit sole and aft bulkhead caused by the engines. I've noticed between the innner and outer skin on the bulkhead is sandwiched sections of poly pipe insulation to deaden the sound/...

New Owner with Questions
My name is Bob Gruber, and recently purchased the PDQ 32 Latis from Reedsville, VA. I'm in the process of moving her south, initially to stay at Hilton Head, SC, and renamed Island Time. Similar to all new owners, I have plenty of questions, but thought it best to first search the site to see if the...

Looking for a PDQ
I have been the happy owner of an Allied Seawind II ketch for 10 years now, and will soon be retiring. I made the mistake of taking my wife on a catamaran, and now the plans have to change. I own an efficiency condo in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, that includes a deeded 35 ft. slip. I would like to see if ...
