Re: Fresh Water water flow PDQ 34
Bill, To add to Dick's comments... I replaced our original water filter with a "Yacht-Mate Clear Sump" unit 2 years ago because the bypass valve on the orginal unit leaked. I've been using a standard 10.5” 5-Micron pleated carbon water filter cartridge. We do not have any water pressure is...

Re: Flybridge enclosure
When we replaced our flybridge bimini 2 years ago (it's taller & longer with more "crown"), our canvas guy totally replaced the original (somewhat wobbly) SS structural with a similar but stronger design. It was strengthened by placing the vertical struts in different locations at bett...

Re: Deck Storage
Nick, We carry two 16' sea kayaks on our 2006 PDQ using Magma "Removable Rail Mounted Kayak/Sup Racks". They are well designed with high quality with a very secure SS vertical railing post mount. Because they can be easily rotated on the vertical rail post, they easily snug up to whatever ...

Re: Fresh Water water flow PDQ 34
It's been a long time since we changed the pump. What I can say is we are completely satisfied with the water pressure and the faucets and shower. No issues at all. Also note that we have a Jabsco Accumnulator tank (Model 30573-0000) also mounted in the same galley bilge to help maintain constant pr...

I replaced our Jabsco water pump about 2 years ago with a Whale pump (model UF1215). It's working fine.

Re: Boat Yoga
Add to the list "changing impellers". Like inspecting the rudder posts, I am simply NOT able to contort my body and arms to do this annual task. As a charter boat , we are required to do a LOT of regular and out-of-season maintenance than normal boaters. I can do a lot of it, but... so, I ...

Re: Fresh Water Pump Problems
Alan, I have the same pump and do not have issues like you report. We have replaced it once in 4 years... and, as a charter boat, our boat is used about 18-20 weeks per year. We have a Jabsco Accumulator tank (Model 30573-0000) mounted just after the pump to help maintain water pressure throughout t...

Re: Flybridge enclosure
Sailkane, what you have sounds like what we are imagining.Did you add any SS structural bars to support it? Is it connected to the Venturi wind screen? Could you please send photos so we can see the structure of it?
Thanks very much!

Re: Flybridge enclosure
"Eisenglass" is rigid and not what we are considering and "plexiglass" is also not the right term. I just don't know the terminology for the clear, flexible vinyl plastic wind shields you see on power and sail boats. I know some versions are a lot better than others. Our objectiv...

Flybridge enclosure
We are considering adding a partial plexiglass enclosure to the front of our flybridge. I've seen photos of several PDQ's on the East coast with full flybridge enclosures. I'd like to hear from those PDQ owners -- what's your experience with full or partial enclosure? Does it add to the "sail&q...

Very nice. I can't tell from the pictures... do you also have a primary bimini over the flybridge?

I solved it... found a broken wire at the top of one of the senors... soldered it. Done.
