Re: Ultra leather fabric color

RB,

We're not doing the BLUE color. Our 2006 has the TAN color. I'm just looking for info on the faux leather fabric. Ours has held up beautifully.

Re: iPad navigation program

Terry, Did you mean "iSail GPS" for $7.99 at the Apple App Store? It gets great reviews and is certainly inexpensive. I don't mean to put it down, however, I have it and I much prefer Navionics. I find Navionics to be much easier to use, much faster and easier to create a track without nee...

Re: Ultra leather fabric color

Good question. We too are thinking about having our seat cushions on our 2006 PDQ reupholstered. We don't have an answer to your question, but would definitely like to know.

Re: Heating Fresh Water

This did get resolved. I took pictures of the heat exchange hose loop between the engine and the hot water tank and sent them to our maint. guy. He installed the new water tank without any issues. It was nice to help him sort our his "confusion". Thanks for thinking about it.

Re: Fore / Aft Boat Balance

Good questions... couple of responses... To keep this topic in context, we replaced our 4 wetcell house batteries with 4 heavy AGM's because our objective was to: a) have enough battery capacity to support up to 3 days at anchor without any need to start an engine to recharge (we do not have a gense...

Re: Fore / Aft Boat Balance

Duane,

That's helpful. As of now, our boat is definitely bow LIGHT even with full water and fuel tanks. I think I need to add some of that "ballast" chain back to get to at least level or slightly bow HEAVY with full tanks. I plan to call Dick and discuss this with him.

Fore / Aft Boat Balance

My question is: When your aux. fuel, water and holding tanks are empty, what does your boat's profile look like at the water line? Is it balanced Fore to Aft on the waterline? Or is it stern heavy with the bow riding visibly higher? What does the profile look like when your fuel, water and holding t...

Re: dinette reading lights?

John, I can send you a ZIP file with our entire original PDQ manual including the schematic charts. However, the file is too large to send via this forum. If you send me your email address, I will send you a link to a site where you can download the file. I'll send you a Private message to do this.

Re: iPad navigation program

Navionics for iOS devices is fantastic. Every boater I know uses it. And the cost is low. See:

Re: Anchor Rode Options

The more Research I’ve done on Rocha anchors, the better they sound.

We always apply a bridle to relieve any load on the windlass.

Re: Anchor Rode Options

Got it. Our center cleat is right next to the windlass... my hesitation about using it for securing the anchor is that the line to cleat would become a "trip" factor since the cleat is about 5' from the end of the anchor. I also have to bear in mind that our boat is in a charter business.....

Re: Anchor Rode Options

John (Duetto), Did you choose the 44 lb (20kg) Rocna based on Rocna's sizing guide recommendation to put the "next heavier" model on multi-hull boats? Or for some other reason? I've bought the 33 lb Rocna yesterday at West Marine. It's the recommended size for 26-46' mono-hull boats. I got...
