heat exchanger removal

hi,

has anyone removed the heat exchanger core without completely removing the heat exchanger from the engine? we have a 2003 where the complete vertical face of bunk step is removable. it looks like it will just slide by the hull liner, but i'd like to know for sure before i decide to tackle it.

hi, we bought hull #23 a year ago. it's a 2003 but sat for a year. we had trouble with charger side right from the beginning, but errors had to do with "tmp1 getting too hot". generally occurred when running off generator when battery voltage and charge amperage were at max. can't remember...

hi alex,

flushing is straight forward. they tell you exactly how many strokes. it is the most efficient, in terms of clearing the bowl, of any head we've had.

hi alex, we have one on our 34 powercat which we bought used. as far as i know, boat came with it. i don't know if owner had it installed special or if it was a pdq option. we've used it 2 years now in traveling icw twice from ct/fl-bahamas. generally, we like it. it has one annoying characteristic ...

hi sandy,

assume that you have the windlass. if so, what we do is bring anchor all the way up on it. then we have a line from center cleat with a snap hook which goes into a convient link. always works and is a no brainer.
