Re: Cabinet Storage?
Did you measure or take any pics of the space. How did you get into it to see it?

Cabinet Storage?
Has anyone attempted to create a new cabinet to the right of the beverage cabinet in the salon? As best I can measure it, there sure seems to be an approx. 9"D x 20"H x 18W" dead space to the right facing the beverage cabinet. Seems like you could build a storage cabinet with a hinged...

Re: Fresh Water water flow PDQ 34
I'm still looking for a water filter housing that has a air purge valve that works. Anyone tried a Yacht Mate water filter housing FH4200CW34PR with 3/4" PT inlet/outlet ports? Or a Pentek 158648 1/2" 3G Slim Line 10" Blue Water filter Housing?

Re: Propane Cooktop Issue Revisited
Assuming the issues you are referring are related to the Princess cooktop that was installed on many if not all of the PDQ's, we also had a lot of issues with it when we bought our PDQ 4 years ago. After a replacement was equally flawed, we changed to a Thetford "Spinflo" cooktop Model SHB...

Re: Engine Raw water intake strainer
Our 2006 PDQ operates in the Pacific Northwest. We encounter lots of eel grass and kelp. We seldom get even small bits in our raw water strainer. I know some other boats (sail & power) that consistently capture a lot. I do not know why.

Re: New Owner Questions
David, 1. Good luck on the water leak... the only thing I can think of is to check inside the STBD locker on the Flybridge (close to where the ice chest is located) to see if somehow water is getting into the vertical cable channel that goes straight down from the flybridge to the lower helm. 2. The...

Re: Fresh Water water flow PDQ 34
Has anyone found a replacement for the original "Waterguard" by Shurflo water filter unit that works? The bypass valve handle on my old Shurflo is nearly impossible to turn any more. The company that made our Shurflo model was apparently bought some years ago by Pentair (the water filter c...

Does anyone know the name and part # for the transom shower handle with the push button? Mine is broken. Is it a Scandic part 20140623?

Re: Flybridge seal with upper deck
We do several things to manage mold and crud build-up inside the upper helm console. Since we store seat cushions and canvas covers inside that huge cavern, I've tried caulking the gap between the non-skid deck and the cabinet from the outside and the inside. That helps, but the movement of the helm...

2006 PDQ 34' Owners Manual
I have somehow lost my own PDF copy of our original boat manual. I have the hard copy manual, but am looking for the scanned PDF file copy of it. Does anyone have a PDF file of this manual?

Re: Sleeping in the salon?
Bill, I'll add that it REALLY made a difference when we had the cushions upgraded last year to a higher quality, denser foam. It is much more comfortable sitting at the salon table. The denser foam especially helps on the lower helm seat... rather than raise the entire seat to improve visibility, th...

Re: Sleeping in the salon?
Bill, our salon bed works great. It did take improving the quality of the foam (made it denser) in the seat cushions and the two cushions used to cover the table portion of the bed. I have uploaded 2 pictures. Let me know if you don't see them and I'll send them to you.
