Re: Transom Shower Trim

I also replaced ours last year. Got them from Defender, seemed to be an exact match.

Re: Anchoring a Cat...Correctly

Simple to do but hard to describe. At the point you want to attach the ring, fold the rode double and hold it in one hand leaving about a foot to work with. Slide the ring over the folded end down to your hand, open the "loop" of the folded part a bit and fold that over the top of the ring...

Re: Anchoring a Cat...Correctly

We use a SS ring instead of a rolling hitch. Our bridle consists of : 2 - 15' lengths of 1/2" 3 strand nylon line w/ an eye splice on one end and a snap hook on the other, and a 3" diameter SS ring. ( ring & snap hooks properly sized for the load). Pay out rode to the desired scope, pu...

Re: Horn Switch

I found that on mine the horn power was connected to the lower helm starboard ignition switch. Without the key in the run position, the horn did not have power.
Maybe this info will help.

Re: LED bulbs for ceiling lights

An interesting note about being "dimmable" I took a chance on some ebay import leds ( $15 for a quantity of 10 delivered). They have worked fine for a year now with one quirk, they will not turn off completely. We also have the dimming system and when switched off the leds glow faintly. Th...

Re: Fuel Pickups

I don't have the answer on what type of material the tube is, but I am familiar with that part. On my tank(hull 32), the 90 degree street ell that the hard plastic tube is pressed onto has a tiny wire screen inside. Maybe only 3/8" in diameter. On a 20 hour gulf crossing, both started clogging ...

Re: Aft deck bimini

We had ours installed last year in Stuart. Coastal Metal Works for the frame and G & G Canvas for the fabric. Both companies did fine work, and have built quite a few for the MV34. One thing I would change is have a bit more arch built in, in tends to hold a little water near the corners. It mak...

Re: Marine Head questions for PDQ 34

Ours is also a Jabsco electric. Not sure about the vented loop but I am noticing slight odor when the tank is over half full, so plumbing is on my to do list. A vented loop may be added if it's not there now. During our boat shopping we looked at at least 8 different MV34's that Rhumbline & Stua...

Re: Salon Berth Filler Cushion

The filler cushions are the seat back cushions when in dinette mode. Ours works like this : Lift table up and remove long legs, replace w/ short legs and reset in floor plates. Unfold table and make sure it seats properly around the edge( on the wooden supports for "bed" mode). Take the ba...
