Hey guys. Laurie Andrews had mine custom fabricated by whoever the stainless guy PDQ uses. I figure a clone of it should fit all our 36s. I'll take measurements and a few pictures this weekend and email them to whoever wants them. Warning though, it wasn't cheap. About $2900 all told. Still worth it...

Bob, Got your email. I'll let you now if I get the schematic. BTW, not sure what sort of davit project you're working on with Harley, but I worked with Laurie this past spring about getting a bench/davit system fabricated for my 36 so I could have the back bench like later 36's and it turned out spe...

Bob, Just this morning I was speaking to Harley Craig at PDQ (he's replaced Laurie Andrews). I called about shipping my new emergency tiller, but I also asked about an electrical schematic for the 36. He said he'd look around and if he found one he'd send it with the tiller. If I get it, I'll scan a...

Hi Don,
I don't. I've just been using the phone. But since laurie's email was landrews at pdqyachts.com, I would assume they use a first intitial/last name convention for email. So give it a try and see if it bounces or not.

Thanks for the info.

A couple people I've dealt with in the last few months have left also.

I'm not interested in rumor-mongering, but is there any reason for this? Any reason to worry?

Hi,

Well, I was working with Laurie on getting a new emergency tiller fabricated when she left.

When I call now, they direct me to a guy named Chris Culver who now handles customer service.

Problem is, I've left a couple messages and haven't heard back from him.

Thanks

Thanks, Rick.

My sailcover just developed a big rip this past Sunday, and I was looking for exactly this kind of info.

Thanks

Thanks for the help guys. I'll call PDQ this AM and see what the deal is. I'll also post results in case anyone else ever has this problem. Thanks for the suggestion, Kokomo, couldn't find 'em in the rear lazarette anywhere, though. Oh well.

Emergency Tiller?

Hello again, I cannot seem to locate any emergency tiller In the new 1996 36 that I just purchased. I removed the deckplates on each hull and they seem to be the usual type, where there is a horizontal pin over which a metal pipe (the vertical part of the emergency tiller) with a slot in it will fit...

Dale,
I've noticed a similar phenomenon with some water in the startboard engine sump. Can you drop me an email and maybe we can discuss the specifics of your job? Thanks,
Brendan

Thanks

Kevin,
I sailed from Saugatuck to Michigan City last week, but bad weather on Sunday forced me to leave her there for the week. I'm bringing her back tomorrow, though. I'll be in the south end of Monroe harbor, so look me up, or I'll stop by Dusable soon.

Thanks guys,
The slugs seem like a potential culprit, since I had a friend feeding the sail at one point while I pulled the halyard, and he may have forgotten to check. I'll have a look when I get on the boat.

Thanks again. The setup went pretty well, thanks to the advice from Allezcat. One question: The halyard tension on the main got very very tough when the sail was a foot or two from the top. Even with 4 wraps on the winch I was having a hell of a time. I decided to leave it there, just because I was ...
