Thanks Sam, my cover is oval, but the chain exits through the curved end instead of the flat side. I've been looking for one for a while now. So far, no luck.

Chain pipe cover
Hi, The cover on the chain pipe got loose, and kicked overboard on my 1993 36'. I can't seem to find a replacement to fit. Do I have to make one?
Thanks for any help, Marc

Thanks. The best part of having the hardtop is being able to walk on it. Makes tying up the sail so much easier. We're very happy with it.

Re: Lazy jack lines?
I hate lazy jacks. I've had a Dutchman system for 16 years. No hung up battens when hoisting. Can raise or lower without heading straight into the wind. Great if you singlehanded most of the time.
But I do envy those EZ stack pack sail covers. Can't do that with a Dutchman.

Re: Poor mans hardtop project
Hi, I know, it's been a while, but I was recovering from surgery. The new hardtop was finished last winter, but didn't get installed until May. This is the only good picture I have of it so far.

1993 PDQ36 "Here's 2 Life" is SOLD
Hi, My boat was highly customized by the original owner. Much of the cabinetry in the stbd hull is different than other pdqs'. there are more cabinets, the chart table is very large and slides in when not in use. The electrical system was designed by an outside electrical firm. The battery bank cons...

I'm guessing that because the guy is led through a block on the bow, and then led aft to a winch or cleat, I would need to douse it when gybing...? -Rick Griffin Please check out my travelog at http://20in20travels...

Re: Sym-Spin Setup
Yes, then the sheet controls that corner of the spin. And the guy on the opposite side controls that tack. This might all sound confusing, but because poles are not used it is really very simple. I've used the spinn. often single handed, just go slow, and take your time.

Re: Sym-Spin Setup
Hi, I thought the Tacker was for use with a asymmetric spinnaker. If it is a symmetrical, two lines are attached to each corner. One is the sheet, the other is the guy. The sheet is led all the way aft to a block, then to the winch. The guy is led through a block on the bow, and then led aft to a wi...

Re: Getting off the boat
I'm not sure I understand this question. Are you asking how to get the linehandler off the boat? I singlehand most of the time, and my method is to manuever my stern quarter to the closest cleat or piling to where I want to tie up. Then I throw or place or pole out a loop of line, which is tied to t...

Thanks, Terry. I don't think I have the know-how or equipment for this, so I think I'll get a tech for this one. Thanks for the info.

Re: ATN Topclimber Static Line and Spare Halyard or Sheet
Hi, I've always climbed right against the mast with my hands around the back of the mast. First I tilt back to get my legs high, then tilt forward to hold the mast, then just stand up. Easy, but slow. Some folks tie the static line to a point forward of the mast, and climb the rope. I find this too ...

Re: ATN Topclimber Static Line and Spare Halyard or Sheet
I have the older ATN. I ran a seperate, dedicated 7/16" line for the ATN, similar to a spare halyard without a fitting on the end, exiting at the front of the mast, because that is the side you'll be climbing up. With a little practice, I think that you will really like it. I've had my ATN for ...
