SS pipes to Transmission Oil Cooler
Has anyone found a source to replace the raw water stainless pipes to the transmission oil cooler? Mine are leaking along the longitudinal seam on the underside of the pipes. Thanks, Chet, 2006 Hull 96, 100HP

PDQ 34 Flying Bridge Windshield
Just for info,
I just had a pair of flying bridge windshields fabricated for PDQ 34 hull 96. Fabricator was Plastic Specialties of Florida, 3601 Arnold Ave, Naples, Fl ( 239-643-0933 ). $329.00 for the pair plus tax.

Re: Yanmar Tachometers
Just for info, the surface inlays (decals) on the bridge deck Yanmar instrument panels basically fell apart from exposure to the sun and elements on my PDQ 34 (hull96). After a lot of research I found these are called Yanmar type B panels but was unable to locate a source for just the sticky surface...

Generator Problem
My Northern Lights generator is pumping water out of the coolant overflow tube in a steady stream and the unit is difficult to start. Can I assume the head gasket is blown pressurizing the coolant system? Is coolant getting into the cylinders causing hydraulic lock? Or maybe seawater is getting into...

Re: Stiff Steering
I recentered the rudders and "Voila", the steering is normal at high speeds now. Simply amazing. Thank you! Thank you!

Stiff Steering
During a run this past Saturday, I expeienced very stiff steering at higher speeds (14-15kts). The steering is normal at low speeds . Anyone have an idea where to look?

Re: Engine stalls when throttled back
Sounds like carb needs cleaning. Idle jets are likely gummed up. Remove carb, disassemble completely, clean all parts with good carb cleaner, blow out with compressed air, reassemble. When you accelerate quickly, a pump squirts fuel into carb which allows engine to accelerate. If you accelerate slow...

Re: 9.9 Lower unit rebuild
Magic Time,
What a great posting! Thanks for all the photos and comments. As to the housing (casting), I would replace it after all the effort to get to it.
I also would add a freshwater flush fitting to the exhaust cover plate on reassembly, but thats another whole project.

Re: Air Conditioning
Bob, We used a Cruisair to cool our PDQ36. While it would not cool the entire boat it would do an adequate job of cooling just a stateroom or just the salon. I liked the simplicity of the unit and the fact I could even use it at anchor with the Honda EU2000i generator. I did not like having to lug i...

Re: New potential PDQ 36 owner
Hey Bob, What do you wish to do with the boat? We are current owners of a PDQ MV34 powercat but just sold our PDQ36 hull#10. We had that boat for 18 years and loved it. It was the perfect Bahamas and coastal cruising boat for us and we even took it through the Canadian waterways and Great Lakes one ...
